Ugh the ones that don’t move are great but the ones that swing almost give a panic that I can not describe at all. But the views once you get up there is amazing, and even better at night. It’s not only a great way to start your day if you wanna shake things up but even better to end then day.

My daughters loved this! I didnt care for the swinging car but my daughters sure did! The view was amazing from up that high! Loaded and unloaded much faster than a regular ferris wheel!

Everyone whos into ferris wheels should try the swinging gondola. Its like being into two rides in one. The views are amazing and youll enjoy being onboard for a reasonable amount of time.

A rose by any other name. I know theyve changed the name now, but this ride still offers classic ferris wheel views. Watch out for (or make sure you get if thats your thing) the sliding cages. Nice views of the park, neighboring Disneyland, and Anaheim.

This is 5 stars based solely on the views! You can go for a old school fixed basket or one which swings and moves as the wheel rotates. Either way youll love the views of California Adventure and time it rights and the lights make everything even more magical.

Great ride overall.(Keep in mind that this review is for the SWINGING version)It really is like two rides in one, the ferris wheel portion (duh) and kinda like a...mini pirate ship. At one point it looks like your gondola is about to go right off into the lake in the center of the whole section of this theme park, but it was a great experience.However, I would not recommend this ride to anyone who has a fear of heights (its a ferris wheel), motion sickness (the constant swinging could cause discomfort for some people), or people who like to take in the view or take photos (Id recommend the non-swinging version). Still managed to get a decent shot overlooking this section of the park.

This ride had me laughing my heart out at my friend. When we went here after the Incredicoaster, my friend chose the swinging side. So, I asked him if he wanted to do the swinging side, and he said yes. So, when it was our turn, we took a nice rotation around the wheel. However, when the wheel stopped spinning, it started swinging, and my friend started freaking out because he almost dropped his phone while I was just laughing. There was even one instance where he wasnt ready that when the gondola started swinging, he flew straight into me. Anyway, I will definitely revisit this ride again soon!

Ill admit, I was too nervous to ride it. My wife and daughter went, though.

DO NOT RIDE IF YOU HAVE SMALL CHILDREN!!!!! This ride was so scary. Especially for children. I was with 4 girls and they were screaming/crying their hearts out. Worst ride I’ve even been on. Please go on the ones that don’t move. (They should definitely install seatbelts.)

I didn’t think I would find this ride scary- I was wrong! I thought my car was going to swing off into the lake! By the end I was so ready to get off, but it’s a fun ride that’ll have you laughing and maybe a little sick... (don’t worry, they have sick bags inside the cars!) it’s a classic park staple, and you have to ride it at least once. You can do the regular Ferris wheel cars if you’re prone to sickness, plus they usually have less of a wait. :)

This is the best coaster in Disneyland. It pales when compared to offerings in Magic Mountain, or any Six Flags in general, but is worth a ride if you are in the park. The line can get long, but the single rider line usually goes faster, and its not one where you really need to be with a friend to still enjoy it.

Sadley we waiting about 1/2 an hour in line (and we were not close to the front) when they announced that it was being closed for a repair. From talking to others in line this is a common issue with this ride.It does offer some beautiful views at night, but if youre eager to get on another ride.. knock this one down a little on the list and go there first so youre not waiting time.We tried twice, we never got a chance to ride it.

Having the choice of rocking and non-rocking sides is so smart! Go at sunset for a great, colourful view.

Something about swinging on these things terrify me.

Very scary since Im afraid of heights and it seemed as though we were going to swing off of the ferris wheel.. This was better in my opinion than the traditional ferris wheels.

Would highly recommend if youre not afraid of heights and want to see California Adventure and even Disneyland from a unique vantage point. Would highly recommend to not ride this ride if you have fear of heights. You will be terrified.

I personally had no issues with this ride on either type of gondola. However, if you have motion issues, stay away from the swinging ones.

Even though it’s cool it also scared the life out of me. I didn’t feel very good after that.

The height is great and the two style baskets makes for a different and exciting ride. One basket is simple and traditional in the sense that it is stationary and just goes around with the wheel. But the other actually sits on a track and rotates independently on its own at such heights adding for more excitement. Be ready to be possibly seated in front of somebody else. This is to be more efficient and make the line move quicker.

This is a one of a kind farris wheel! Not only do they have swinging gondolas, they also have non swinging gondolas. I did the swinging Gondola and it was scary when you are going very fast it felt like we were going to fall off of the track, which we didnt! Very entertaining!

This is my favorite ride at DCA. I especially like the cars that move!

Nice and high, and you have your choice of a regular Ferris wheel car, or one that moves back and forth on some long rails (kind of thrilling actually when it gets going at heights).

The swinging gondolas make the ride more fun on top of the great views you get.

Do NOT ride the swinging cars! I have never been so motion sick as I was on this ride!

One of the best rides here! That is unless you are afraid of heights, and definitely be sure to get a moving car! It makes the experience 200x better!

It was fun. The wheel stopped every five seconds for others to be able to go on. It would be a little more fun if it was unstopped, but it was fun anyway

This is a great spot to take a break from walking the parks and get a view from above. Be careful to get in the correct line for a swinging or stationary cart. Lines werent too long last time I was there.

Its fun, but not an enjoyable relaxing ride if youre in a swinging one.

This attraction is probably the best one at California Adventure!!

The view from the wheel is great. The carriage swings and roles around too if you like some thrill. This adds exciting twist to a standard ferris wheel. With other rides in Disneyland having long lines with a short ride, this longer time span attraction is definitely worth the wait.

Its great. You can choose between basic fixed cage and moving cage. You have a great overview!Only the lattice sucks... you cant make any picture from there.

Im not a big fan of ferris wheels because, the constant loading and unloading makes the ride tedious. this one is a bit better since you can have the choice of swinging (more thrilling) and non-swinging gondolas. I prefer the shorter non-swinging version. the line is usually half of the swinging version. barf bags are provided in case you lose your lunch

The swinging portion was fun but we never had a full rotation without stopping to load. We made 2 revolutions and unloaded. Stopped up top twice but would have been awesome to actually build momentum.

Who knew a ferris wheel could be scary? If you opt into the swinging gondolas, youre in for a thrill. If it ends up being too thrilling that you turn ill, theres thankfully sickness bags tucked next to the seats. Otherwise, the stationary gondolas offer a beautiful view of the park at the very top of the wheel.

Had to wait in line forever just to go around once at full speed. 3-4x around would have been ideal but then we would of had to wait longer 2x longer. The longest part was getting people on and off. It was beautiful from up top.

One of our favorite rides in DCA. The reason for a less than perfect review is because of the lines. This ride should have a fast pass.I dont think any ride at Disneyland or DCA deserves a five star if they make you stand in the sun for over 30 minutes. They could easily shade every single ride so people arent overheating and hate the experience.Most of us do this for our kids, so make it easy for us. Other than that, the ride is fun and Id suggest you go on the swinging gondolas instead of the fixed ones for a more thrilling experience.

Great way to see the park from the highest vantage point. You go around twice. And the line isnt as long as some other rides. They have swinging and non swinging cages.

Mickeys Fun Wheel is pretty cool and the line usually isnt that long. You can choose to ride either the stationary or moving cars (much more exciting in the moving cars), but watch out - you dont want to fling off into Paradise Bay!

Best ride ever it was fun riding on the stationary car and seeing all of the Disney creations from the AIR!

Fun ride, shorter wait time than other rides, I think its a must, you cant come to this park and not try it.

Love it, you have the option to choose from a relaxing ride on the stationary basketn or a fun ride if you go for the swinging basked.

A fun ferris wheel. The sliding swinging cars can really get moving! If your nauseous they have vomit bags as well. And for those who dont want to swing can always ride in the stationary section of the wheel

The swinging gandola was scarier than any ride in the park. If you decide to go on this ride, be sure to make sure you went to the bathroom, have a strong stomach, and do not have a fear of hights.

The World of Color show is so beautiful! Lots of Disney memories in half an hour or so. Amazing! I loved it!

If you have a fear of heights or falling then maybe the spinning seat isnt for. If you like the thrill and making new friends because if you have a party of 3 or less youll be paired with another party (only when the wait is too long)... Then go for it!!!

I havent gone on the side where the car moves around while the wheel spins, but the normal side is perfect for me. Its tall enough that you can see all of Disneyland and California Adventure. A nice way to take a break and see the parks.

This ferris wheel isnt your grandpas ferris wheel! There are 2 options for gondolas. Swinging and non swinging. The swinging line is much longer but worth it! The best part is when you go to world of color and they use the led lights to play a version of Simon and the winner gets to control it from their phone! Go early and connect to the WiFi and go to the correct website and boom you are competing in no time!

A good stop if youre looking to take a break from some of the more intense rides.

The best family friendly ferris wheel ever! if you have squeamish family head into the non swinging gondolas or be faced with terrified family and children who will think twice on rides the rest of the visit.

This is a big wheel! And you may get stuck up top for a while. Aside from being dizzyingly high the view is amazing.

It is an interesting wheel, and youll have a great view of the Paradise Pier.

This ferris wheel is SO MUCH FUN!! I always go on the swinging gondolas because I love an adventure. The first time I rode it I dragged my wife with me, and we shared a gondola with another couple. Everytime the gondola would swing, the ladies would grab on to their man and scream, and me and the other fellow would just look at each other and crack up! Then when we got off she walked about 5 paces in front her her guy, while my wife stayed by my side... I guess the other lady didnt enjoy it as much as my wife did. Anyhoo, that was the last time I was able to get her on with me so now I just ride it by myself... Still fun to watch people freak out when it swings back and forth.

Two options: nice safe regular Ferris wheel ride or swinging wonky sliding rolling cabin that sways and swings. Regardless of your choice you get a great view of the park

Nice and quiet. Most of the time if you arrive about an hour before the World of Color show youll get no lines and a private booth in the wheel.
