We have always heard great things about this museum and its interactive nature, so we finally decided to check it out and I can honestly say it was amazing. There was a great balance of education, exploration and fun and things to do for all ages, however, I must say its a bit embarrassing when adults are holding up queues of children to play on every exhibition! This is very much a kid-centric place and so it should be!We enjoyed the lab experiments which highlighted the importance of using sunscreen and the puzzles dotted throughout certainly piqued my childs interest. For such a hands on venue, it was great to see the amount of hand sanitizing stations available to us and they made hand cleaning a feature of the exhibit! Pandemic or not, Im glad to see children being more hygienic! We booked tickets online on the day and we arrived 20 minutes early, they were not busy and therefore we didnt want to queue. I would dread to go there on a busy day as I can imagine queuing for every exhibit to be rather tedious. We did queue for a couple of exhibits, but it wasnt overly time consuming. My son had a lot of fun and used every second of our 2 hour slot, he probably could have stayed another 2 hours but we were satisfied with the amount of time to explore! There were clear markings on the floor to guide us in, around and out which aided the social distancing measures. The cafe and toilets were open and clean.Overall it was a great day out in a lovely location!

I love science museum. Ive been to quite a few. I loved NEMO it is very dynamic and hands on... I will not give 5 starts just because I thought that this museum was more focused on kids than a general public. However, if you have kids it is the best place to take them in Amsterdam.

I really recommend it to you, but beware that youd have to explain a lot to your children if they cant read or dont speak Dutch or English.the roof terrace is also really nice! you get in for free if you already are in the museum. It has an incredible view and quite tasty pizza and fries, but the food and drinks are quite expensive.

When you enter youll notice a lot of different stations in which you can interact with things explaining all sorts of scientific laws/rules/effects/etc. Awesome! Definitely worth your time. Btw... What an amazing science centre to bring our three year old! We spent several hours here and each floor offered new and exciting things for her to explore. Highly recommend watching the chain reaction show (its in English and Dutch) and seemed to be on every hour, as well as visiting the back area on the main floor, where it is much less busy and quieter with some bubble and building activities. Only negative was that it was very crowded the day we visited (seemed to be during a school holiday). Also a great gift shop.

Great place for kids with lots of nice games, not really nice if you are a couple without kids ! We went in July 2020, there were direction marks on the floor for people to avoid crossing each other and there is a lot of washing product stations to disinfect your hands, but appart from that, all the kids were touching everything, no physical distances and no masks at all, and kids were running everywhere, complete nonsense in a time of a pandemic.
