Just got back and, wow!! The kiddos just loved it. Theres so many animals to see and they allow you to feed them while on a tram tour. The kids were absolutely thrilled and unafraid, even the 2 year old. The only thing I would change is that they desperately need a new speaker system for the trams. The one we rode was exceedingly hard to hear and understand. The woman conducting the tour was fine, shed first taken us on a walking tour and we had no problem. But apart from that, a spectacular field trip!!
The parking is a rubble/caliche lot so bring shoes you can walk in! I came with my two kids (4 & 1) we brought our own food. Plenty of outdoor shaded seating, with bathrooms on site. The petting zoo is not letting the kids pet at the moment due to covid. The tram ride was nice but too long for my 1 year old. I do not recommend the tram ride through the ranch for real little ones. My son is 4 and it was almost too long for his attention span. There are games for children and you can buy feed to give to the animals during the tram ride. If you dont go on the tram its not worth visiting solely for the petting zoo part.
It was definitely a fun place with deer from all around the world. Enjoyed the bags, connect four, and the building blocks that were outside for the kids. Looks like you can bring in your own food and drink with plenty of picnic tables. The ride through the zoo is about thirty minutes and had an awesome tour guide named Travis. A little on the expensive side for what it is, but would have been more enjoyable if the petting zoo wasn’t shut down due to Co-vid.
On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, I stopped by to visit the Bayou Wildlife Zoo. As I drove inside the zoo, an abundance of wildlife, greeted me along the roadway, as if to say, Welcome to our home. Inside the zoo, I visited the barn yard which is filled with cute critters. I viewed the giraffes inside the beautifully renovated big red barn and browsed inside the country store. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Rita. She shared her story of purchasing the zoo with her family. She clearly loves the zoo and her animals. My tour guide for the tram ride was Caleb, who was both knowledgeable and friendly. The fun tram excursion through the park was an exciting adventure. Wildlife was everywhere! I had a FUNTASTIC wild life adventure at the zoo and highly recommend this trip to kids of all ages!
Odd stop. Not really sure what it is anymore. Its primarily deer and a few other species. Its kind of an odd quirky place that doesnt seem to know what it actually is due to weird games and things just randomly placed in the park. Young kids will probably like it for the playground feel. The tram can be absolutely brutal. Bumpy to the extreme in spots with very spotty loudspeakers. Fun to feed the deer that come to the tram.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Apparently, due to COVID-19 and CDC guidelines regarding animals, things are a bit different; however we had no complaints. The kids loved it. It was a nice outing, especially during the pandemic. We stayed until after they closed so they allowed us to see them bottle feed the baby waterbuffalo up close. They have lots of animals, but they do not all walk up to you, even with the bags of feed. The staff is nice and friendly, and the grounds are safe. I must say that the bathrooms were much nicer than I had anticipated. We will be back.
Wow! Bayou Wildlife Zoo was amazing for my son’s third birthday! It was a VERY reasonable price. They have a designated time for birthday parties- so we pretty much had the entire zoo to ourselves for our little party. They give you enough space to spread out a bit. They have an agenda already planned for you. The staff was excellent too! Jennifer helped me keep the party rolling and Travis was SO knowledgeable about the animals and the park! All the animals seem to be well loved and kept. The kids had an amazing time and so did the adults! We will most definitely be back. Thank you, Bayou Wildlife Zoo!!
Excellent customer service at the front desk. My family and I came all the way from Katy...but learned that due to Covid-19 we couldnt pet the animals. The front desk ticket booth assistant was so helpful and warm. She had the Southern Hospitality down pack. She advised me to check on line to learn when things would be back to normal. Although theyre not allowing petting of the animals, they do offer the trail ride and allow you to pour feed for the animals to eat.We noticed deer, ostriches, zebras and there are many other animals. We hope to visit again soon when this whole Covid-19 situation ends.
Had a great time with my family. The animals were awesome and we loved all the employees!
What a great place to visit for people of all ages! Such a great variety of animals and a friendly staff. We will definitely be back!
Fun for the whole family. It has definitely been upgraded since 2017.
Used to be a more personal experience. I’m glad they are making money but it’s just not the same. Kind of lost that “hidden treasure” feel.
This was an awesome experience! The animals are so cute and the up close interaction is awesome! Caelob our TRAM driver was comical and informative. Its a must go if you have small children, but great for any age! So much fun!
Its a great place to spend a few hours, ride the tour, see the animals in the barn. Theres q nice outdoor play area with an oversized Connect 4 game.
This zoo was amazing. The price you pay to enter is well-worth the money and you know your money is actually going toward caring for these animals. We were able to feed many animals with 4 buckets of food (additional cost, but also worth it). This zoo isnt like a traditional zoo with a bunch of animals in concrete cages. The animals are actually allowed to roam around in more natural settings. There is also a petting zoo area where you can enter and feed and pet the animals. The bus tour was so much fun and youre able to get up close to the beautiful animals. Our tour guide was friendly and even stopped the bus to show us a trick with one of the animals. If you take children, you need to make sure they keep their hands to themselves on the bus tour and hold the food and the buckets properly out to the animals to avoid injuries. This zoo requires a lot more personal responsibility than traditional zoos, but it is such an amazing and fun experience.
The staff is super friendly and the animals are very cute, a great experience and so close by, let’s support this great loving caring staff members and the animals too, the prices may be pricey but not when you think what your Price of the ticket is supporting, the animals, their care and the stuff members .. so what are you waiting for? Go and experience it your self ..lots of fun guaranteed.
Great little park. Really enjoyed my time here. The staff was very kind. Rustic, quaint, and very personable.
Decided spur of the moment to go and so glad we did. Although you couldnt pet the animals like you used to (because of covid) there were still plenty of animals to see. The wait for the tram may have taken longer than expected, but the staff were clearly trying to keep things moving as wuickly as possible and that just gave us plenty of time to watch the lemurs bounce around and to learn about the baby porcupines. A great day of fun! We will definitely be back
Great little zoo where you can spend an hour or more with toddlers and they light up seeing the animals. Very well done little place. We were the first to enter as the gates opened at 10am on Saturday. By 10:30, the zoo was packed and we were glad we waited at the gate for 15 minutes.
They didnt enforce people wearing masks. Hardly any social distancing. On the tram rides...they fill them completely up..dont space people out. Not a huge selection of animals. Our tram driver was kinda crazy...flooring it through dips. Me and my 4 yr old were jolted every which way. It was something to do...but i dont think it was worth the money and exposure. Lesson learned.
I have visited the Bayou Wildlife Zoo several times over the past decade. After my recent visit I have am a bit disappointed in the experience compared to what it once was. After the change in management, I feel as if the park that I once enjoyed with my son is no longer there. When I went last week it felt like a distant memory, and I felt the repercussions of the change and had the urge to leave a criticism of what I felt from the experience. There is no longer anyone to greet you at the front where you pay and to hand you food bowls for the animals as you proceed to the rest of the park with its various animals greeting you as you make your way to the main attraction of the park—the safari ride location. On your way to where the safari ride station you are instead metwith a fenced off parking area and there is no other option but to park quite a distance from the station. No shade and quite a rocky path leads you to the shed where you pay your dues. There are no refunds, so make sure you are adapt to the heat and in for a waiting period. The environment has changed and has become more rigid. Perhaps once COVID-19 dissipates, they will loosen the protocol? Who knows. Good luck finding a table in the waiting area as you wait for the safari ride. Families, groups and individuals are forced to wait their turn, sometimes overlooked or accommodated to a later departure as they call out the names of parties. Is it just me or have the number of animals diminished? If you happen to sit at the back of the cart safari ride, you can barely register what the tour guide is conveying through the speaker. Perhaps an updated sound system could help mitigate this. In addition, please be careful if you happen to sit in the back with young children. Some of the safari cart tour guides feel themselves impeccable to the point where they are unaware of how the big dips in the terrain are quite bumpy and can cause an accident if they are not careful enough with their driving. Its a safari ride, not a roller coaster. I understand, it is quite fun, but without seat belts or efficient shock struts in the rear, please be more prudent. There is no longer a petting zoo near where the giraffes are located. The giraffes look agitated and bored as saliva drips from their mouth and one can only wonder what their experience is like or not. They got rid of the horse/pony ride. I feel as if the new owners have made the park a bit too rigid and have lost sight of the potential it has. Perhaps in the near future it may change. I hope it does.
I’ve been coming here since I was 6 years old, I’m 19 now. I was so excited to come especially with everything going on. When I was a kid you could drive through and all the animals would come up to your car window and you got to enjoy a one on one experience with these beautiful animals. But this was NOT the case at all. You were only allowed to feed on the tran and you weren’t allowed to hand feed them or pet the animals. “Because of the CDC guidelines” I work at a veterinarian clinic and I’m a veterinary assistant and I can tell you right now animals CANNOT contract Covid from humans, if that was the case wouldn’t veterinarians be telling you this with your own animals? I was extremely disappointed today and the so called ‘petting zoo’ wasn’t a petting zoo you weren’t aloud to pet or feed them. I’m very disappointed and my family and I won’t be returning unless it goes back to the way it was having that one on one experience.
Had a lot of fun with the family! Apparently this was a horse ranch back in the 80s, that expanded into exotic animals. You can buy buckets of animal food (2.50) with admission. They drive you around the park in a tram. The animals are super tame, and come up and eat food out of your bucket. Also a petting zoo, tame deer wandering around, and a brief pony ride. A really neat way to make the zoo a little more up close and meaningful.
We went as a family. Our kiddos loved it. A lot of friendly animals that will come up for feed. This place has lots of potential wishing an investor would come in a help spruce. The groundskeepers make the best of it though.
This place is so awesome for any animal lover! The people are friendly and the price is fair. The tour was fun but I do have to admit it can get a little bumpy, so for the elderly please be mindful. The restrooms are maintained well and the rest of the facility is well manicured. I would definitely revisit. Thank you Bayou wildlife zoo
This place is absolutely amazing! It was just bought by new owners and it is already so evident the amazing things they are going to do for this place! Theyre working toward taking better care of the animals, improving habitats, and just completely revamping the place. It was so much fun to ride the tram, (Jennifer was our driver and was amazing) and it was super neat to get to feed so many animals straight from the tram. She was kind and well informed and you could see the love she had for the zoo and the animals there. You could see it in all the staff members. This is absolutely a family establishment through and through. I cant wait to come back and see how awesome this place will be with all the exciting things the new owners are going to do!
Pretty cool place. Not that many animals. About 30 minute trailer ride. Ostriches are most exciting for kids because they get close for food.A bit pricey for what it is.
So great! The animal variety is somewhat diverse and it is 90% open pasture for the animals.
Second time coming here,First time was our best!Second time...MmmmTheres been alot of renovatins but, when a customers ask kindly to disinfect a car, instead of arguing saying that they have. When clearly we been inspecting each car that arrive, how they are been disinfected and treated. And accidentally skip one, (unfortunately ours) please do so.We felt Discriminated wheather if its because of our Race or Age or size of our family. We did try to not make a big deal and ask 4 times in a calmly manner,And that seemed a big Nono for us especially because of the C-VidOverall we enjoyed the rest of the day
This place is soo much fun for children and adults. There are animal you are able to feed and lots of educational information about them. They have pony and tram rides as well. You can bring your own food into the park so for the summer bring lots of cold water. Bug repellent and spray would be great idea too. The petting zoo is covered in flies.
Went on a Saturday at 10am. Amazing Zoo! Lots of animals to see. Amazing and fun ride through the park. The guide was funny and informative. So fun to feed and pet the animals. We all enjoyed the animals, ride and feeding the animals. The kids loved the pony rides.
I like the idea of being drivin around, but there are three really deep dips that are dangerous throughout. My back hurts from how it just dipped and was extremely bumpy. There is no enforcement for wearing masks. I do appreciate that the tramis sanitized. Regarding the animals, I was expecting more. It was majority deers. Not all the bags they give you to feed the animals are equal weight . The facility is extremely basic and overpriced. I paid over 100$ for my family of 5.
My toddlers absolutely love this zoo, from the deer that occupy the outdoor table area, the pony rides, and especially the tour through the larger areas in the park. The giraffe, zebra, and wildebeest are my personal favorites. They don’t offer too much in the way of food or snacks, but they do allow outside food and drinks, and they offer buckets of feed for all the animals in the zoo. I suggest going on the tour in the morning or around lunchtime because the animals become more lethargic and full as the afternoon rolls around. It’s a fantastic family spot and a great place to see a few exotic animals up close. We love it!
Always a good time- just hope they do something to make it easy for handicapped people- it’s a long walk from their new parking lot to the barn where the tram starts.
Took kids for spring break, they loved it. They were so happy feeding ostrich and buffalos... Pony ride was great for kids, so was the petting zoo. Crowd was small, so basically no wait time. Highly recommend for kids and parents...
The Bayou Wildlife Zoo is an amazing experience. This is a great and unforgettable outing for family and friends. In addition, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the interactions with the wildlife are unparalleled! If you are in the area, then do not forget to add the Bayou Wildlife Zoo to your itinerary.
Saturday July 2020 it was good for the kids imo a little pricey over $70 (2 adults and 2 kids under 12) for a 35 min trip around the zoo. riding ponies were closed no petting allowed because covid. I probably go back to visit once they finished with the Improvements.
Pretty good overall experience. They even have a dancing ostrich named Gary!!
They have extended a super cute childrens area. . . Kids had a great time.
Nice place with that mom and pop kind of feeling. They have a few animals that are on the endangered species list. Worth the 20 bucks!
Came here for first time today. The kids loved it! They got to ride around and the feed the animals. When we were leaving the animals out of our car as well.
Took my daughter. She had an amazing time seeing the wildlife up close. We were late and the last customers of the day. They gave us a solo ride and the associates were nice about it with no hesitations! I was shocked. WOULD RECOMMEND!
Fun social distancing activity! This is a drive through zoo of sorts, the drive is half the fun even though the animals are the attraction. They take you on a 30 minute ride throughout the reserve. You can buy feed for the animals as well. I didnt look at the price breakdown but for 2 bags of feed plus entry for 1 adult and 1 child was $32. Feed can be thrown or as you see in the pic theyll come up to the cart!Only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because they dont provide rain checks.
Absolutely loved every bit of it!! We had a great time and it completely wore my 3 year old boy out! Well be back for sure! Everyone was so nice and helpful
Not following social distancing. You get sat facing someone so close that your knees are touching. Not enforcing face masks either.
It was great and looked like it had a lot of potential idk if it is because of the pandemic but I heard good things of this place but when I went it was a tram ride and maybe a picture with giraffes but if it’s not open to it’s full potential I get it but if I pay full price I expect the full experience. Staff was real great but I have a 2 and 5 year old me and my wife and for 70 bucks I got a ride around and a few pics overall good experience just lacking a bit from the pandemic I’m sure but we went to raceway after and def would have enjoyed all day passes for that kind of money. If they return to full operation I’d love to go back and get the full experience
Have been calling this place for over a month. Get No answer if they are open. No recording or anything. Would love to bring my grand daughter to see the animals. We have never been before. Would appreciate it if they could update there hours and let people know if they are actually open or not. Thanks!
Great experience! Clean restrooms, friendly and helpful staff! Animals seem happy.
Happy animals in a wildlife setting where they try to keep things are natural as possible. Interesting for adults and kids. The staff are super accommodating as well. Im disabled and in a wheelchair, and they went out of their way to get me up in the trailer to go on the tour. It was awesome. The animals are so much fun to feed with the buckets. If you go in the morning or before late afternoon, the animals are more active. In the late afternoon, theyre more lazy and laying around stuffed. If you want to feed them and touch them, go early.Dont forget to see the giraffes and the animals in the petting zoo before you leave. The place is handicapped accessible and they will help you accommodate anything you need. They even have a decent accessible bathroom and you can access the petting zoo, the train and everything else via wheelchair.I highly recommend this for a wonderful family or school or church outing. You can bring a picnic basket and eat at the picnic tables in the afternoon and just make a whole day of it. They have soda machines and a gift shop on site.
This place used to have a lot more animals. It appears to be changing into some kind of partial day care/camp site thing with board games and such in areas. The alligator feeding was absolutely brutal, tossed food over a fence into the mud for the animal. It was the most amateur looking situation Ive seen at a zoo. The tram was EXTREMELY bumpy. Add in the expensive ticket and despite some needed cleaning the experience here leaves much to be desired.
Needs some updating and a good barn clean. The only real exotic are the giraffes and theyre in a really tight spot. They have a few camels as well. Went for a field trip and the kids had fun. I wouldnt take my family there though, its high priced + parking. Hopefully the new owners do some updating and cleaning up.
I went there this weekend like normal day. Havent been there since the covid started in March, new owners bought it. First impression when I pulled up, wow its nice, I liked the changes. I took some family that came out of town w us as well. When we got to the pay station, I went ahead and paid for mine and my 2 other companions, 60 bucks. My family that came, was around another 6-8 people, and the head of them forgot his wallet at home. While waiting in the booth still in front of the cashier, they decided to leave because of the wallet issue. I knocked on the window of the cashier and asked if I could get a refund, she said she would have to ask her boss, I belive a Mrs Dana/Dina. she was told that we couldnt get our refund, now Im in customer service as well, and run a company. I told the cashier why not, i just paid cash and havent moved from the window since i paid and there is no No Refund sign any were, i took pict as well, she said its on our website. I understand if it was a CC transaction, because of the processing fees or they could of offered a brochure for next time but no, so I asked her if she could give me a pass for another time and she called again her boss and told her thats fine. gave me a 7day pass to go back. Very disappointed in the way they handle the situation. Ive gone to almost every Safari type in Texas, from San Marcos to Austin and around. I been going to this place for over 7 years and just to loose a customer over something simple. Will not be going back, and will not use the sign receipt to go back either. Very dsappointing with the new owner.
Really neat place to take your kids to see the animals out in the open my kids and loves it
Love this place! Such a great experience and my kids really enjoyed it! Will definitely be going back.
Been here once before for my sons birthday came back for mine bug animal lover and being able to go around feed and interact with different animals are awesome. I will be going back this summer.
Great experience. The kids loved it.
My child had a great time-he really really did. From an adult perspective, it smelled a bit like the cattle stalls at a rodeo at the waiting area for the tram and the staff could have been a little more friendly but I kinda get why they are a bit less than amicable- they deal with screaming children on field trips all day long that don’t necessarily follow the safety rules. There are many animals to meet. They come up to the tram and the driver makes sure to stop several times so you can feed and pet them. For a school field trip, it was $7 per child and $8 per adults and everyone gets their own small bucket of food for the animals that will lasted me the entire tram ride-which I think was around 45 mins but I was not watching the time. Overall, the animals seemed happy. I saw one goat that was thin but it seemed like it was particular to that one goat. All other animals looked like they were well fed. The ostrich’s were laying eggs and the giraffes had apparently given birth there more than once. I could see from the tour that there were extended areas for the animals to roam that was out of public view. My only hope in all of this was that there is some sort of regulation committee that makes sure that all the animals are truly cared for correctly. Other than that, I was a great experience for my child and the other children there.
Very nice! With a variety of animals! Do a good job of social distancing.
Great experience! My daughter (7) loved the tram ride and learning/seeing all the animals. Staff is very friendly! Went on a weekday afternoon. Spent about 2 hours there. You get one pony ride and one tram ride. You can also bring your own food and eat there which is nice.
This tour was awesome we were well informed on the animals and the property waa huge..We will be back
Great place for everyone! Since everyone is feeding the animals only 1 food bucket is necessary and if you want to feed them, sit near the front of the tram. We will be coming back next time we are in town!
This place is a blast! Take a tram ride thru the zoo to see the animals out in the pastures and fields. Feed the animals from the tram as they come up to you. Theyve got things to do and see while you wait to get on your tram. You can book parties and field trips here too!
Good idea, bad execution:1. Waited over an hour2. The “tram” is a tarp covered trailer3. Heard a deer got caught in a fence4. 75% of the animals are either deer or emu5. While riding we saw the newly born baby water buffalo get it’s head caught in a fence. Why is the fence constructed in such a way? Everyone onboard was freaking out as it was really struggling. How often does this happen? The only positive I can think of is the staff was really nice and apologetic for the wait.
Best place ever! Good enviroment, good service and friendly animals. Will go back any time$20 per person + tax and $2.50 the animal food
Ive been there 4 times. And the experience for adults and kids was fun and hands on. The animals knew what those buckets of food was. And gave a great experience. But now theyve changed things. Nice big parking lot but its a long walk for those of us that are handicapped. The heat and my copd it was really rough. Then they took away the food bowls. That just ruined the fun of this place. The star is in time out and the buffalo and other big bulls wouldnt come to the trolley because no foodbowls. Throwing food out is ok for the ducks but otherwise this was the worse visit Ive ever had here. Sad thing I told my grandson all about this place. He came here from California to visit. My daughter who has been here several times was truly disappointed. Sadly I wont go back unless they change things back.
I have been at this zoo many many times. Today was my first visit after they changed owners. It was very sad!!! I think is very pricey, we didn’t even see all the animals around like it used to be, no horseback rides anymore, no petting zoo anymore, the parking lot it’s far now, the food you have to buy to feed the animals very pricey, one tiny bag,( used to be a bucket) sooo different, I even feel like the animals look sad, they don’t come to you anymore
Must-visit for anyone in the area. Excellent collection of African animals and hilarious array of mixed animal species without official names. Expect to get dirty.
The kids and I had so much fun! Great family atmosphere!! We will be back.
The Bayou Wildlife Zoo was a but disappointing. They advertise 400 animals, 60 species, etc etc, but half the park was inaccessible due to flooding and the lack of a bridge over the flooded path. So, we probably saw 100 animals and 20 species. Everyone had buckets of food left and we didnt get a lot of experiences with animals, mostly ostriches. The petting zoo was fun, especially the pigs that snort when pet or fed. They also had domesticated white tail deer that you could pet and feed, but they would take food out of your hand and bother you at the picnic tables. If you have never been to one of these drive through types of wildlife parks, you will probably still have a good time. Each entry did include a pony ride for each of our kids that weighed less than 90 pounds. We have been to others that were a lot less expensive and had a lot more animals.
this place. Kids enjoy it. The Male alligator didnt like me too much but it was just a fun family time
I went for the first time. After reading a few reviews I was somewhat prepared. We bought a bucket of food to feed the animals and drove onto the property. Immediately llamas surrounded our vehicle and we began hand feeding them from our car. Found out later this was against the rules. Would have been nice if ticket seller would have told us to drive on through to parking and not feed animals on the way. It does look in disrepair in some areas. A gate or fence breaks and they rig it up with makeshift wire or panel. I have livestock and understand why this is done. At some point go back and do a proper repair to tidy up the appearance. We sat for quite a long time in the tram before departure. They were also loading up a second tram while saying We cant leave until were full. Why begin the second tram if the first is still awaiting passengers? The guide was very knowledgeable about the animals and it was interesting to learn about them. I was impressed with the variety of animals. I will definitely go back and have already recommended it to friends. I will bring a small binocular to see the lemurs and rhino better. They were too far from the tram to see clearly.
Loved it. Cant wait to go back after covid.
Hand to heart— I almost never leave a bad review. Having a customer service background, I know what it’s like to make mistakes and get butchered for it. I tried to be understanding but there’s no denying a lack of urgency, lack of regard for other’s time and patience, and a clear lack of accountability. Upon arrival I’m given a brochure with a post-it displaying a number. My understanding was the number was to group people into a tram. Not the case. I finally found a park employee (no name tag, uniform, or other identifying moniker— the only consistent park employee I saw were young boys with AirPods in their ear opening the tram doors), we were told that using the numbers is not efficient so— essentially— it’s a free for all when hopping on a tram. Time spent waiting is irrelevant. I tried sharing my observations to a man in a brown giraffe shirt but was told... jargon. I don’t know how else to word the phenomenon of having someone try to explain something (poorly) in the hopes that you don’t have the common sense to see through their deceptive BS. Ultimately, I paid for an extra long wait, mind-less and minimal direction from park employees, and sitting in the cold under the pavilion with dozens of other disgruntled guests. The cherry topping? Today is my daughter’s birthday and I elected to bring her here. I am a massively disappointed guest.
We love going to this zoo. The animals are beautiful and fun. You can actually feed them from your car or on the tram. Buster the white tail deer is so adorable. He is the one pictured in the back of the delivery van eating bananas.
I visited this place with my husband back in 2019; afterwards, I wrote them about my concerns regarding the overall welfare of their large animals (giraffe). They wouldn’t answer my questions on the internet and just dropped a number to call. The giraffe was in small quarters and alone. This captivity just made my husband and myself sad for the animal’s fate (should be in Africa with a family or free roaming to an extent at least). The other animals are fed pellets all day by families who visit. Though the place appeared maintained and most animals had a free-roaming experience, the quality of the animals’ food intake also had us both uncertain about their diets.
Fun for everyone of all ages especially kids!
New owners really cleaned up the facilities!
They do not practice the 6 feet apart rule they promise while selling the tickets, they sat us with another family in the tram tour, literally bumping our knees with them! Won’t be back
The description of the park didn’t state you needed a car to get in. The member of staff we talked to was extremely rude. I haven’t been treat with that much disrespect in a long time. This was a few months ago now, just forgot to review. I also hardly ever review; especially for bad reviews but I couldn’t not say anything. It was just disgusting the way we were treat.
Warning, They accept cash only. Besides that the kids enjoyed themselves and it was overall a good experience. Bring snacks and drinks because I only saw two vending machines
They make each family sit in a tiny row in a tramp. No matter how many people your family has. The way they seat people absolutely fails CDC #COVID19 guidelines. It’s absurd that they charge us individually, not by family. A very uncomfortable and unpleasant experience. Will not come back and not suggest if you have a big family.
So proud to be in this place love it.
I will be going back again to visit....because I love animals. However the place needs better upkeep...and a more knowledgeable & enthusiastic staff.Def go visit to appreciate our Creators marvelous handiwork! Dont forget to take cash, thats all they accept.
We have been so careful to social distance during the pandemic and chose this place today as an outing for our kids because they are outdoors and their website seemed to take covid restrictions and safety very seriously. If you click on the section for reopening/covid they say they arent allowing birthday parties or field trips. After paying $70 for our family of 4 we were so disappointed to find a field trip and a birthday party. No matter where you stand in the pandemic this is false advertising.
Great experience for the little ones. Super nice staff. Bring plenty of water.
Beautiful animals, clean and family friendly. I love the giraffes!!!
This place was a lot of fun. Visisiting friends from out of town and this was the one place they definitely wanted to take me to. Awesome!
Super nice people and the animals all look well taken care of.
Pretty awesome place. Very up close to the animals.
Super fun place! Sad we missed the rhino, but all the animals are beautiful to see and at times felt like a mini African safari.
I went with my family and I had higher expectations of this place. The staff was very rude, the animals are LITERALLY loosing their fut and feathers. The place doesnt looks like its not well taken care of, nor the animals. It looks like a ghost place with animals. For how much we paid I would have thought the place was a animal safe space and well taken care of.
Nice place for a weekend trip with the family. The staff is nice and you can feed variety of eager animals by hand. I rate it 4 because it can use some renovation and better animal care. The giraffes have over grown hooves and restricted to a small area.
Great Experience for my 2 1/2 yr old Grandson
Great and fun place, different and unique zoo experience. Get to pet different type of animals from different countries and get to feed them too for $2.50 a bucket.I’m reviewing it with 4 stars because they need to fix their Jeep trucks. All the emissions from the exhaust goes to the passenger once the tour starts and during the whole ride your breathing carbon dioxide.
Reasonable for a small town local zoo. Good for keeping kiddies busy.
My family had an amazing time. My husband had heard from a friend to buy extra buckets of food and he was right! Hold onto to your buckets tight because the zebra took two buckets from us! Kids had a blast and so did the adults, it was great being so close and being able to touch the animals.
