I LOVED this trail. There were hardly any people on it, which was nice because the trail is very narrow. It really busts your butt! I do not reccomend fir small children or elderly because its a very steep incline and VERY rocky.
The trail is about 3 miles round trip. A little over grown in places but trail is super easy to follow. The trail is rated hard on AllTrails.. Id say its about moderate to hard. Theres no shade if you go in the afternoon so mornings right before sunrise is perfect for this hike. The views are awesome from the top and the best part is its not crowded at all. We ran into only one more person on our way down.
Hard af but I love it
Great views at the summit. Once you get to the trail it’s easy to follow. Up and down I was the only person on the trail. Trailhead isn’t clearly marked though and the path is over grown. Wear pants and cover up as there is no shade. I’m glad I can check this peak off my list but I wouldn’t do it again.
Great place to hike into and get some wild sage
Beautiful views at the top. Rugged, rocky, steep path. A few rock overhangs to stop at and chill. Not very trafficked.
Expect a steep and Rocky Mountain trail. Definitely not an easy climb. Trail head starts near the last turn out before the red gate. Look for the break in the Barb wire. If you are at the red no trespassing gate you missed it. Once you start off its easy to follow the trail. Watch your footing some of the rocks are loose and wobly.
Cool trail up. Picked a bad day to go it was super foggy. There didnt seem to be a set trail in the beginning so just follow the little stream.
Love my planet
Nice short hike, good views, mildly trafficked, bit steep at the end.
Quick altitude increase, as you hike scraggly path for about 90 minutes.Keep looking back at magnificent views.Huge variety of plants..butterflies and birds.Strong boots recommended.
Pretty good workout and there was nobody there when I went. Great views from the top.
Great trail if youre into pain! 3.1mile round trip was nearly straight up and down with a great view from the top. Dont forget to sign the summit log!
Rugged trail to top. Great views of San Diego!
A little rocky but enjoyable hike.
Steep, difficult hike
Hard to find as its unmarked, not many switchbacks, no shade, and under developed, not for casual hikers.
Raw trailhead. Trail not clearly marked. No services. Pack water, no shade.
