Over the past several years Ive had the joy of watching community cast and crew members present top quality musicals and plays. ACT1 provides an encouraging environment for those interested in performing. My children have enjoyed attending theater shows here. Its helped my kids become interested in performing. Am thankful for the work the theater does to help better the Atlanta arts community. ACT1 is small but mighty.

Im just now getting around to reviewing the Spring show, The Boys Next Door, but it was PHENOMENAL! The directing and acting were spot-on, and the actors were touching and believable as they portrayed men with mental disabilities. Non-musicals are hard to pull off, but this production and Steel Magnolias from 2017 held their own. Folks, these are volunteers - they show up for the love of the craft and it shows! Every production deserves community support!

ACT1 is a real gem in north Fulton. Since discovering it several years ago, I have enjoyed watching them become more and more professional with each show! They mix putting on the well-known with lesser known, but wonderful, plays and musicals. Especially for the price you cant beat ACT1 for a fun night entertainment. Long live LIVE Theater!!

Ive been an audience member and an actor with ACT1 for over 4 years. The quality is consistently great, with good show selections, excellent talent of community actors and production teams, and a tremendous sense of family and team. A worthwhile experience either from the house or behind the curtain.

From acting to sets to costumes, and everything in between, the care and love they put into each show shines through every production, and their mix of seasoned and new actors mixes technique with new ideas to provide fresh and fantastic performances.Act1 Theater is a welcoming venue for audiences, cast and crew alike.

Great small theater experience. Wonderful shows done at a very high standard. Musicals, cabarets, straight plays and major musicals are all done well. Next up for summer is Guys and Dolls which will be another sellout. Dont miss it!

This is a wonderful production. A tender, heartfelt, emotional story told with humor and grace. Only three more shows. You dont want to miss this!

Had the pleasure of seeing Guys and Dolls there last night. Very quaint little theater, show was great. Sound and lighting was great.

Our family has been involved with this theater from its inception over 20 years ago. It is a wonderful, nurturing place for kids and adults to engage in the teamwork and fellowship necessary to create a great show.. All aspects of each production are handled in-house by dedicated volunteers; from the management, publicity, etc to the impressive array of custom-built sets, lighting/sound design and lovingly made costumes, creativity is clearly evident. Casting and crew recruitment is open to all, giving rise to a healthily diverse team for each show, helping folks come together and build lasting bridges in our fragmented, modern world.Oh, and by the way, the shows are excellent, too!

Tickets should not be $20 a piece for such a small theater. I saw the Nutcracker in a nicer, larger auditorium for a cheaper price.

A scrappy, ambitious community theater located in the heart of Alpharetta. The quality of shows performed here rise above the typical community theater fare, a feat worth mentioning given its location outside the Perimeter, without the immediate proximity of the ITP theater crowd of Atlanta. Given the proximity to the best restaurants Alpharetta has to offer, this is a perfect date night event. Also, ACT1 is committed to presenting family-friendly shows, so you can bring the whole family.
