Great spot to see the fireworks! This year there was plenty of room for people to safely enjoy them at a safe distance

Love this place. I go here alot sometimes to just sit in my car while talking on the phone and enjoy the view.

Loved this beach. Plenty of parking, beach was clean and maintained. Easy walking to beach/water with paved paths. Great family atmosphere with BIG playground, swing sets, and a awesome splash pad for the kids! Main facility building has mens, womens, and handicapped/ family restroom. Porta potty also located at various spots along the beach. Beautiful view of Lake Huron with crisp, clean, cool water. We will be back.

Nice beach and friendly looking park both water and hot-water. Lots of space for people to enjoy many of their amenities. Would definitely make a habit of coming here for summertime.

We dont visit often but we have enjoyed the long trails leading up to the camp sites. Be prepared to step in mud. Water and bug spray is recommended

Nice Beach clean well-maintained lawns are all cut and the best thing is you can have your dogs on the beach thats so awesome

Nice park. The beach is clean and Sandy. There is a splash pad here a bathroom. There are picnic tables. Grass to lay your blanket on. The beach is pretty big.

We went to the farmers market. I miss the other location walking distance.

Nice place. The sand was good till it got 56, then it was gross. The play ground had a water park.

Awesome park. Best park in northeast Michigan. Great FREE splash pad. 3 separate play ground areas. Long and sandy maintained beach. Covered picnic areas. Clean showers and bathrooms. Also the Mexican restaurant has a patio with drinks that you can watch the playground area. Really enjoyed our visit and we do this one again. A must!

This is a nice beach on Northern Michigan... A wonderful new water splash park for kids of all ages. Bathrooms that are clean. Annual July 4th sand castle competitions with fireworks at night. Quick bites along the road nearby.

Lots of fun for all ages. Theres a splash pad, park for toddlers and older, pavilion for parties and get togethers, lots of park benches with beautiful scenery and a beautiful beach. Theres showers to wash off the sand after swimming in the lake.

Not to myself with handicap issues a great place to visiut. Its a shame as this park could bee a great fun park to visit.

Was down there today Friday 13th to check out the rolling waves of Lake Huron

It is a very nice beach, it is small, but we are a small town. It is pretty clean, every now and then you will find a piece of trash. But otherwise it’s a nice place to go during the summer and I would definitely recommend.

This park is absolutely gorgeous. They have volleyball areas, picnic tables, grills, a full playground, etc. The park itself is very clean and gives off a serene vibe. And the water! Its so clear with a pleasant temperature. I would highly recommend people visit this place.

Wide clean Sandy Beach Acres of grass volleyball court to the left and a fair amount of shade for your car come on over and jump in the water its not even cold

Beach area is a little rough sand wise, otherwise the park is excellent and well kept.

Cute little beach on Lake Huron. The parking lot fills up! The splash pad looked like fun for the kids!

The low population of the beachfront makes this one of my preferred swimming locations.

Great for walking, riding bikes, kids playground, water play area, picnic tables, bathrooms, shower to rinse off after swimming. Water activities for adults and young adults.

Mich-e-ke-wis Park (located on the shores of Thunder Bay/Lake Huron) is one of Alpenas hot spots for swimming, biking, skateboarding, events, and more. And with it being on, State Street, its just seconds away from stores, restaurants, and other businesses.

Decent City Park with a beach. Gulls everywhere. Not too busy on a late June Thursday. Sand was not the cleanest, definitely not groomed. Pavilion available. Play area. Lots of swimming area, and buoys are out quite a ways. Certainly worth a couple hours.

Loved it! Found shells for the grandkids, introduced my lab to a lake and enjoyed the breeze and view!Dont laugh but they had the best portapotties I have ever been forced to use!! I would give 5 stars just for that!Clean, well cared for they even had doggy poop bags and cans!

It was nice and private. A bit dirty, with lots of seaweed and sharp broke shells all over. Lots of seaweed you had to walk through, so if you dont like that maybe avoid it. I didnt mind though, and it was peaceful and quiet for me and my two year old who is just learning about the beach. I really enjoyed my time there.

The reason I like this spots food is available nearby the parks and kids will have a good time and the beach as well and a lot of nice people in Alpena.
