We had my son’s 5th birthday here and our party host was phenomenal, she went completely above and beyond. We forgot a cake knife and extra plates and they graciously helped with both. The party flowed perfectly and all of the kids had a great time. Great party spot, would highly recommend.
Great place for rec gymnastics & tumbling classes . Also has awesome birthday party’s
We have had several birthday parties here over the years, my two sons absolutely love the place and dont stop talking about it. The staff is always wonderfully helpful and super nice to the kids. We go back as much as we can!! Love this place!!
Fun place for kids but security is seriously lacking. Only 16 year olds work there. There is an open door kids can walk in and out of and I didnt have to show my id when picking up my daughter. Its a good price for a date night but will not be returning.
Awesome Place!! Oir girls love it here. Summer camp options, day camps during school holidays, options for swimming lessons, and parents night outs!! Staff is great!
This facility has been great to my family and i for the last two years. My brothers have had so much fun at parents night out and their summer camp program. My sister took gymnastics lessons there in 2017 and loved it! The staff is very helpful, polite and caring towards the kids and families. We cant wait to come back here for more fun!
The instructor was extremely nice according to my daughter and very encouraging. I liked the smaller class size and the feedback we received at the end of class. Even the things my daughter needed to work on the instructor brought it to me in a positive manner which I definitely appreciated. She really enjoyed herself and i am very grateful for the pleasant experience.
Avoid this place if you care about your kid safety the security is quite poor further more the staff is not experimented to say the least many young 16 years old who did not take proper action when my son, 7 years old, hit a wire, got his full cheek complexity racked and had his lower lip bleeding quite heavily,. Half of his face was bleeding and swollen. No one called me at time of the accident and no one seemed to know what happened when I came to pick him up. My kid was hurt pretty bad .It took sold 15 min to have a manager to talk to.Pretty disappointed and quite hurt but such negligence as I use to like the place .
My daughter LOVES her gymnastics class every week! The coaches are great and very interactive and caring towards her!
My daughter is already 8 and has never had formal swim lessons so she wanted to try some classes because she loves the water. We have had nothing but a great experience thus far. She looks forward to every week when she has her class. Such a great choice signing up at metroplex.
We absolutely love Metroplex Swim Program. The instructors are patient and make each class safe & fun! They make it easy to track each child’s progress with personalized trackers.
My grandson loves coming to swim class. He is a very active boy and the swim instructors are very patient and keeps him engaged throughout the class. He has learned so much already in the month that he has been taking classes! Thank you!!
My four year old did a two week session here and loved it! Her instructor, Lauren, was knowledgeable and nice. She progressed in only two weeks.
I enrolled my 4 year old son to the swimming pool class, the first lesson was an amazing time for my son, my son had a lot of fun. I liked the way the coach taught my son.
First visit here I was given an explanation of how fun parents night out is by the office man Michael, we came back a week later and now we don’t go one Friday or Saturday without coming to parents night out! My children love playing with their friends, most of the staff is very energetic, great environment!
We switched our daughter to Metroplex from another gym about 3 months ago and have already seen a huge difference. Shes learning new things every week and having a great time doing it. I only wish wed switched sooner! She LOVES Coach Brad. We also have had lots of birthday parties there (because my kids keep asking for them every year:)) and have a great time every time.
Swim lessons are awesome! Happy kids everywhere! Birthday parties are the best in town!
Can’t say enough great things about Metroplex. They have a great selection of programs for the kids and great coaches and staff. Thank you!
Great staff, and a great program! My daughter has been very engaged and loves attending and learning
We have had an amazing experience with Kimber at Metroplex as a swim instructor. My child has some sensory processing issues and is very hesitant in the water because of that. Kimber is patient, with clear expectations and has my daughter doing things I never thought possible in just a few sessions.
I love this gym. I have 2 children who enjoy going to metroplex. They love attending birthday parties here, being in classes, and going to parents night out. The staff is friendly, professional, and very helpful. My kids love going to metroplex, and I love them going here too. I know they are well taken care of and having fun. I would highly recommend Metroplex gymnastics. Their summer camps are awesome too! Very impressed.
So far so good the teacher seem very well rounded with different ages and skill levels
A great place to host your childs birthday party! The staff is super friendly and very professional. My niece had her birthday party here and it was very pleasant to be there. They take care of most of the setup for you. You just need to provide them the party supply and cake/snacks.The price is really reasonable and way they do the scheduling is perfect. Check them out for your next party! (Not going to lie, it was actually fun jumping around as an adult too!)
I love this gym and the amazing team of staff! I have 3 boys with lots of energy and ALL of us enjoy the “Parents Night Out” they offer:) Also the parties there are always a blast and my kids go home exhausted.
3.3 is far above what this score should be. The owner is full of himself and refuses to take customer criticism. Instead of discussing anything with an angry customer they will kick them out of the Gymnastics facility. The owner doesnt care about about the customer and far more about his own ego. I would advise anyone to not do business with this Company and go to a different facility. The staff is generally fine. They have a bit of a problem with unruly kids. Please be advised the owners here are the problem. I hope you reconsider doing business with this location rather than risking upsetting the owner.
We love both the swimming and gymnastics programs here!
Since 1975 Metroplex has always done everything we can to provide a positive experience to everyone in our program. The Streeter family has owned and operated Metroplex Gymnastics & Swim for 42 years . Thousands of Parents trust us with their most valuable assets, their kids. We will always strive to provide a positive professional staff and the latest and greatest facilities. If at any time that is not the case we will make changes to better our programs for those kids. We understand the concerns parents have, We have 4 kids of our own (ages 12 - 2 years) involved in numerous programs at Metroplex.
Went here for a party. Way too many rules limiting the kids fun. Only one turn on the zip line, no flipping, no high bars and no playing on the pads. Staff was not very friendly as well. Some were but the majority was not. Would not recommend.
Great lessons, small classes, patient and fun coaches!
Beware if you are contemplating swimming lessons here. Some members of the coaching staff are completely incapable of adapting lesson plans according to a childs age or capabilities, resulting in the child being stressed to tears and/or physically injured. We put up with multiple kids per lane bumping into each other in the smallish pool but pushing the kids well beyond their comfort zone was the last straw.
Please read and BELIEVE the reviews! The staff is rude and unorganized as described. The summer camp is run by all teenagers with no adults or upper management in the building. Beware! They offer to take your kids to the classrooms in the mornings because there is no supervision in every classroom. On several different days, I pointed this out to management. I enrolled my kids for one month, but pulled them out after one week due to all of the issues (no supervision, teenage instructors yelling at the kids at the top of their lungs, lost swim gear that was labeled). It is just a matter of time before their luck runs out and the bad practices in this establishment result in serious injury or harm to a child.
Great place ! Very clean and kids love it here.
My daughter Rebecca started here a year ago. She had been doing gymnastics for a while and we were wanting to switch gyms because we didnt feel like she was learning that much at her other gym. Right away, we noticed that they were taking time to teach her the proper way to do everything and I could tell that the coaches there truly care. This is a place that she feels safe and can always count on her coaches to be there! I see her coaches are active and put so much effort all the time, they are able to playback bar routines and evaluate the students mistakes to improve. Everyone is so friendly and she is progressing faster here than she did anywhere else. Thank you coach Justin, coach Lisa, coach Kelsey and coach Carol.
The preschool at Metroplex is wonderful. Truly caring teachers in a variety classrooms. My son was so happy here, he cried when he graduated.Whether you’re looking for a secular Mother’s Day Out or a fulltime preschool Metroplex has you covered. All the teachers would happily greet us at the door every morning and my son would run straight to class, ready to learn! After he graduated the Pre-K program he entered kindergarten ready to go.Truly excellent school
My son attended this school when he was very little. He was in their GAP (gymnastics and preschool) program. The daughter (Sharla Streeter Gant) of the owner was his teacher. He had been attending for a couple weeks when one day we picked him up and he was red-faced and had been crying. No one said anything to us. When we got home, he explained the teacher had picked him up by putting her hands under his armpits and slammed him into the wall. He acted out and demonstrated what had happened. He said he and another little boy had been running and playing and the teacher got mad at him. He had a large red mark on the right side of his back. When we inquired at the school about what had happened, the employees denied anything had happened. After several phone calls and inquiries, the teacher stated she had assisted our son to timeout and he may have scraped his back on the cabinet counter top. (She had picked him up and pushed him against a wall of cabinets that had a countertop catching the small of his back on the right side on the countertop). We took our son to the doctor but his injury was only the mark on his back that was becoming a bruise. I asked them to document it. We contacted Child Protective Services and the Allen Police Department. When the authorities contacted Metroplex Gymnastics, they claimed he fell off the table and the owners preschool grandson was their corroborating witness. So it was our little boys word and bruised back against that entire family. Our son was not ADHD and did not have behavioral issues. There was not any reason to slam him into the cabinets. There was never an apology or anything from the owners of Metroplex Gymnastics. The grandmother owner only wanted to know if we were going to keep our son in class because they needed to fill the slot. I wouldnt trust any them with my dog and for sure not a small child. Although this happened several years ago, it appears from recent reviews that the school did not improve.
Great place to have parties! The Parents night out is awesome when me and the spouse want to go out for a date! They also do pretty good promotions!
My Sister has been enjoyed Metroplex for the past 5 years. She has been to PNO, attended camp, taken swim lessons, had parties there, and is going to start taking Gymnastics classes. I love the variety of programs Metroplex offers and coaches have been awesome!
Love the new swim staff! Couldn’t be better!!!
Shame on me to not have read the reviews before booking a party at the metroplex gymnastics, it was the worst experience ever!!! It was very disorganized, we had to waste party time looking for gifts that were placed on the wrong cart, it took much convincing to get them to even try to look. To top it off, the electricity went out during a sudden heavy rain, lightning and thunderstorm, the place was pitch-black there was no back up light and we were using the flashlight on our phones. So, we left without using the 24 packs of bluebell ice cream cups I had given (Mason) to put in the freezer when we arrived (dont forget they advertise the freezer for your ice cream). When I returned that evening to pickup my ice cream, they were no where to be found! The girl at the desk was like there is none left, despite me trying to explain we didnt use any at all, luckily our party host was still there who confirmed that we didnt use any during the party. So, Mason was called, who said he gave them to a party host, an unknown host I may add because it wasnt my party host!! Fast forward, I was told the manager will call me the next day. The unprofessional Tre called and told me that Brian the owner said they can not compensate or replace the ice cream as their policy states they are not responsible for lost or stolen items. They unfortunately dont know the difference between misappropriation vs lost! Their employee gave my clearly marked items to someone else which I dont believe, I dont think anyone would have accepted items they didnt buy for their childs party, I think Brians employee (s) ate or took them home but he doesnt care about costumer satisfaction enough to investigate what actually happened! Save your money and sanity, do not do business with these people! It is a boring place anyways, the kids had to be creative for an hour with the boring place!!! What a rip off!
I brought my neighbors kids to Metroplex Gymnastics PNO a couple months back and afterwards they insisted to go again. The staff was very nice and helpful while I was checking them in and also checking them out. Ever since, they have gone every weekend. The prices are cheap and they also feed you kids which is included in the price. I strongly recommend bringing your kids or siblings here.
DONT bring kids here it’s not safe!!
I had my Dad go to pick up my daughter from summer camp and when he got there they could not find her and said she had already been picked up. Luckily after looking in both classrooms, the gym, and play area my Dad found her laying down in the office. She wasnt feeling well and was brought to the office to be picked up (which would be fine but they never called to let me know she wasnt feeling well and the teacher didnt know where she was). Hoping this was just a mistake and not something that normally happens. I decided to try a few more days of their summer camp... well when I went to drop her off this morning I walked her back to the class and there were 5 kinds in the classroom with no adult! I made all the kids come with me and brought them to the office so at least someone would be watching them. Even though the one week my daughter went to metroplex for summer camp she had fun, I will never bring her back it is not worth the risk.
My nieces love coming to the summer camp! The staff is helpful, caring, and encouraging to the girls. The Wednesday activities are their favorite part.
Just THE WORST. Please read all the reviews, for your childs/childrens safety!
I had my 4 year old daughters birthday here on May 21st. Worst experience ever!! They have terrible customer service, unorganized, and lack of communication between employees! They have the guests place their gifts on a designated cart with the birthday childs name on it, but they dont monitor. Received a call yesterday (almost 2 weeks after the party) they found one of my daughters gift. I went up there today to claim it and someone must have moved it or took it. I requested that they called everyone with parties today to see if maybe one of the workers possibly put it on their cart and they ended up accidentally taking it home. The swim director told me that he would watch security tapes. I got a call an hour later and they told me that a gentleman came in and knew my daughters name and claimed the gift. My phone number was the only one on the registration and my husband was with me all day... they told me I cant directly contact the manager and he doesnt have set hours for when he is there. I guess I will be blowing up their phone until I speak with Bryan!UPDATE: just talked to Bryan and he told me there was nothing he could do to make it right and it was my fault the gift was lost. Thats fine, I wouldnt have expected your customer service to be any better. I will be replacing my daughters gift that yall gave to the wrong person and spreading the word about how terrible my experience was and try to save others from this frustration.
Terrible customer service and extremely rude. Do not do business with these people. This business has absolutely no idea how to problem solve and completely inefficient in their organizational process. Horrible place.
The staff wouldnt let me play with my friend which I am disappointed with thats why u give this place 1 star.
I can not get anyone to give me any information on who did t-shirts for the Metroplex Challenge. I purchased 6 shirts and Challenge is spelled incorrectly. I just want a name and phone number and keep getting the run around or a recording.
So... We used to go to Texas Dreams for more than 3 years. We moved to Allen a couple of months ago and I traded a very client friendly professional facility for Metroplex. Im am not impressed. Some of the coaches are great, however the facility in general is not very well run, front desk staff is unprofessional and not customer service oriented at all. There is hardly a floor manager present to supervise and resolve any issues there maybe. Their attitude is not one that wants or appreciates your/my business, and even though they have preschool classes, there isnt much flexibility. Here are a few examples and comparisons: my 3 year old can be shy going into a class. At Texas Dreams (TD) the floor supervisor - who btw is very friendly - would step in every time my son wouldnt go in or cry, talk to him, motivate him etc. Though not the norm, they would allow him to have his lovey at the begging of class and eventually he was used to and would run to class with a smile on his face (hat off to TD staff). At Meteoplex (M): same scenario. Coach walked away, rightfully tending to other kids. No one stepped in to help and motivate the 3 year old. We lost a session. He hated the place. Upon my request, they agreed to let him do a make up. So, on the day of make up, having no other options, my 5 year old (who has been doing gymnastics for 3.5 years) had to be tagging along. So I asked if she could participate in a class rather sitting there for an hour. I was more than willing for an extra session. Front desk flat out refused. I asked to talk to a supervisor: not one present. So, a very disappointed 5 year old in gymnastic gear had to sit and watch. They made no effort to accommodate is or to retain our business. So, though its a drag, I am seriously considering driving the 30 miles and give my business to a place that appreciates it, and a place that encourages and motivates my children.
Im exstreamly mad at this place. Both last Friday and this Friday I was told they were going to have there Open Preschool Gym. Last Friday I was told they got there dates messed up and it would be open Sept 1st. So yesterday Aug 31st I called spoke to a lady asked her if Open Gym would be open. She said yes and sorry for the mix up last week. So I packed up my kids drove all the way from Frisco walk in around 1015. The guy at the desk Trey said they do NOT have open gym today bc it is Labor Day Weekend. I told him no I was told yestetday yall would be open. He actually laughed at me . I could not believe it. I asked to speak to someone incharge but he said hes the only one there. My 2 year old threw a big fit which I completely understand bc she 2 times now has had to leave a place she liked. I will NEVER waist my time and money on this place ever agian. There lack of communication with staff and the way i was treated by Trey today has shown this place is terrible and they do not care at all for costume service. Id advice anyone wanting to go to this gym to find a better one . I honestly dont think they should even get 1 star.
The instructors are not friendly over there, my daughter was not treated fairly, bad experience. She is much happier after we switched her to another place. Not recommended.
Unless they had no control over the pricing, $20 for a single day regional admission is nothing short of price gouging. We sat on an aluminum bench placed at floor level, which made it nearly impossible to watch the floor competition. For what this cost in admission (not to mention fees related to competition), this event should have been held in a proper arena.I nearly forgot! They charged $20 and couldnt take a credit or debit card. Cash or check only, but you want to gouge $20? Who the heck writes checks, and who carries enough cash for a small family to get in?
Worst customer service! Today I wanted to enroll my baby for the swimming class. They made me wait for a lady who could help. Ive been waiting for a while and then asked for how long more should i wait. So the front desk lady didnt even try to answer my question. She simply said she didnt know and suggested to come back tomorrow. Seriously? I have to come every day untill somebody finds time to talk to me? Wow... they are worst from the very beginning, so Im not expecting any good for my child... there are lots of other swimming schools around, so do not waste your time at metroplex!
I LOVE METROPLEX!!!! The new facilities are GREAT, the coaches are fantastic and professional, and the birthday party i attended was a blast! Parents night out is also my number one choice for fridays and saturdays!
Horrible place for summer camp. Started out with a rude child at the front, Tre, who has zero customer service and argued about why my children were dropped from the camp before they even started. He doesnt know how to look someone in the eye when talking, doesnt know how to apologize and arguing when they had many open spots. Theyre not even at half capacity from years past. The owner was emailed and messages were left regarding Tres rudeness and there has been no response for a week. Bryan Streeter, I have un-enrolled my children for the next weeks from your summer camp and will no longer be returning there the following years. You also may want to re-look at how it is run as my kids are bored everyday there and say it is really boring compared to years past. In the evening they all sit cramped in a room for a few hours watching tv. I didnt take them to a summer camp to be treated rudely and to have my kids bored out of their minds, especially a camp that supposedly has activities planned all day long and a new large gymnastics area. This has been a waste of time and money.
***********This business is unsafe!! Small children have been slammed against walls, yelled at, left around pools with no adults watching them, and on and on. Read ALL of the reviews!!************
Great gymnastic plase the coaches are wonderfull
Customer service is awful and gifts that were left on a cart came up missing from my daughters birthday
Awesome!!!
Love Coach Cameron!
