These days the course is in good condition considering its in north Texas and we have blistering hot summers. Its a pretty wide open course which suits mid to high handicappers but low handicappers probably would bet bored. Pretty flat until you get into one area and there are three holes there that are the most fun holes to play. Youll never see a marshall, so you can sometimes get tied up behind a slow foursome. Nothing real exciting about the pro shop or grill. Overall, a fun course to play and the green fees are as low as youll find in the area.
This review is directed towards the front office and management. I purchased a community appreciation program through work containing discounts towards green fees late 2019. However, due to COVID, they have arranged their booking system to be solely prepaid tee times for an undisclosed period of time. Unfortunately, management has refused to honor or apply any of the program discounts to these prepaid green fees (meaning everything would remain full price). To add insult to injury, management has also refused to extend the expiration of the program, effectively rendering the program useless and my money wasted. It became quickly apparent that the Arcis team values profits over patrons. Please strongly consider spending your dollars elsewhere
This golf course its very nice and well maintain, very nice and cool people everywhere, surround it by nice neighborhoods and lots of trees.
Great afternoon at The Golf Club at Twin Creeks. I have been playing here for 16 years and I have never seen the course in this GREAT of condition! Seriously. I know weve had a lot of rain recently, but I think the greenskeeper might be due for a raise..! The entire track is completely lush and green and its honestly just nice to look at. The fairways are well manicured and soft which makes for nice, flush divots. The greens are holding much better than they used to and while theyre not particularly fast, they roll very true. No bumps or holes whatsoever. I am extremely impressed with the quality of golf available at Twin Creeks this summer.
Had a great time visiting my family and playing golf here
Tee times were 6 minutes a part so we were rushed from behind and had people slowing us down in front. Had to start at back 9 because a bridge was messed up. Worst part is, I ordered from service cart at my tee time. She told me you have to pick up your card from clubhouse. When we finished and went to pick up my card, the clubhouse was closed and the manager didnt have access to the clubhouse to get my card back. Huge inconvenience not having my card all weekend because I purchased a drink from the cart... will not be bringing clients back here again.
Tough greens. Bring your range finder.
Live on the course and wanted to get a membership. Staff is rude and unhelpful. Thankfully their service saved me from moving forward with that!
They will charge to ride cart alone, even if you are at risk.
Great course. Plenty of room on the fairways and short enough for Srs. Can always join interesting people to play with. Love Twin Creeks!!
5 hour rounds not my cup of tee. Cart guy said on the weekend they do 5 minute tee times. No thanks. Never again. Course just OK but. Good Bloody Marys!
A really good golf course. A friendly club house at check in would give it five stars.
Worst golf experience I have had to date!!! As a single player it took 2.5 hours to finish 4 holes. Absolutely no one out here regulating the pace —it would have been an 11 hour game at that pace. I believe there was a birthday party ahead of us (at least 30-40 people), which is fine, but it would have been nice to be informed of this when booking our time. Unfortunately had to end our game early as we had a not so pleasant encounter with some gentlemen who would not allow us to skip a few holes. As we pulled up to drop our cart off the very nice gentlemen who were originally in front of us pulled up as well....having to end their game early and forfeit their hard earned dollars. Needless to say, very disappointed and will NEVER be going back.
Pretty good practice facility. Grass driving range. Only had to wait for a spot once in 7 years, and that wait was only 5 minutes. Very good putting green, although a bit more space/holes would be nice. Only issue is the practice sand trap; its often unusable due to pooling water.
Worst course in the area. Terrible management and staff. Bridges are broken on the course so that traffic is off, they have you start on hold number 9. The pace of play is managed poorly. The cart lady is very rude and unpleasant to be around. Furthermore, I had an altercation with her and the front desk staff was unable to handle the situation. They took my information and told me the General Manager would contact me to help, but I never heard anything. You are much better off playing the two other public courses right by Twin Creeks, Plantation or Ridgeview.
I go with a group of 20, they took great care of us, we even had a private buffet. Every always seemless. Nice course, not too much hazards, enough traps.
Great place, be back soon!
We play here two times a month. Layout is fun and challenging. Wish the conditions were better. Bunkers never really in great condition and no definition between fairway and rough. Greens can be good...just not consistently
Course was in great shape...only reasons not 5 was because they ran out of carts, only saw the cart girl twice, and no coolers...ice was in a clear plastic bag.
First time playing here. Course was in great condition. Its a fairly open design and not real long playing from blue tees. Its medium challenging for bogey golfer
Good service, course in decent shape, only real knock very very slow play, greens came back nicely. Bunkers redone, great job
This golf course is usually in good condition in normal Texas weather. We were a group of 3 that played a couple weeks ago after all the rain we had the past couple weeks. Therefore, we expected the course to be in not usual shape. The layout of the holes are enjoyable and the neighborhood is pretty nice too. The only downfall of this course is the management of tee times. The only reason why I bring this up is due to the fact that we witnessed a group of 20+ golfers getting ready to tee off. They may have been playing in a tournament, but judging by the reaction of the clubhouse it dint seem so.There should be something that needs to be done to organize the tee times throughout the day.
Loved this course. Wish I could play here more but I live out of town. 17 is diabolical! Good drive and a barely short approach leads to a big number.
Golf course isnt bad, decent layout and shape, but 5+ hours for a round of golf is unacceptable.
Beautiful place to play! Love the greens!
Great course
Very nice place that is well maintained. Employees are wonderful and treat guests like they should be treated! Small selection of food and drinks. Some merchandise as well as cart rental. Very nice!
The course was in good shape Oct 2014 and we really enjoyed it! One of the more fun courses around. I guess they changed for the good looking at the old reviews.
Need to book a 5-Some? Perhaps 1 isnt enough? What about 3 5-somes back-to-back-to-back. Good luck for you as they appear to be on a Summer Special! Perhaps you enjoy nature enough to view the scenery as youre the 12th person waiting to tee off. Doesnt appear to be any consideration from the club for golf etiquette... just stack them up and send them out. Needless to say, dont plan on a leisurely round.
Course was in outstanding shape. Green were really quick. Busy Sunday when my group played
I just recently player Twin Creeks after hearing about the changes from friends and after reading the article in Avid Golfer. Having played there in mid February the course was not in good condition at all but I was pleasantly surprised the greens were some of the best I had played on in recent months. Fairways were starting to green up nicely. And they now have sand in ALL the bunkers which is a vast improvement from when I played it in February. They also have all new gas powered golf carts, no more running out of juice and I even saw a bev cart girl while I was playing and the staff was very friendly and helpful. So all in all I would definitely recommend this course to all my golfing buddies now. Worth the try!!!!
Beautiful course and well manicured. Great pace of play today.
Just played. Round was a little slow but the course is on way better shape than a couple years ago. Think there’s new ownership. Give it a try!
Been a while, I can see the improvement since my last visit a year ago. Fun course.
Course was good shape overall. Greens were smooth and fast, sand were maintained and fairways were green. Staff was friendly and helpful and pace of play was fast. All in all a good experience. No complaints.
The course is nice. The last time I was there I noticed they had new carts. My game was good .
Course is in great shape. The greens, horrible about a month ago, are now superb. Teed off early and played in under 4 hours.
No Marshal, 5 in a group slow pace cause NO MARSHAL and they Individuals to tee off by themselves instead of doing pairing..
Not too overpriced, water is free
Great course to host our company tournament. cart paths could use a little work.
Course is always in really good shape. Staff is friendly and seems to really appreciate our business. This is my go to course in the area...
Nice course for golfers of all skill levels and a good value. The course was in really good shape and I did not have any issues at all with the staff, all were very friendly and helpful. I will play this cousre again when I am in the area.
The course was in great shape. Greens were very good and the sand was soft. Will go again.
Nice course really open for the majority, which is nice cuz Im not very accurate.
Good party place. Bar tender had no idea what shes been asked.
Lovely course
Great course. Great condition Helpful staff.Great value for the money.
Much better ownership. Carts are gas. Course in decent shape.
Great golf staff! The course has improved with new management and should continue improve month to month.
I worked at Twin Creeks from Sep 07 to Dec 09 under IRI as the assistant sup. We did the best we could with the budget, but the budget was a joke. Kyle is still there and, with the change in ownership hes got a budget now. I encourage all the low reviewers to go see what he can do with a real maintenance budget.
Good course, the restaurant staff is friendly. pro shop could use some customer service training.
Great Track great staff greens are amazing!
One of my favorite courses and best value you will find for quality of course for the cost. Staff is always friendly.
The course is in above average condition for this time of year and the greens are rolling true and a little fast. Pace of play was a little slow today, typically there is no wait at the tee boxes.
Im glad I read these. I was going to play there today. I have found that most of the Eagle Golf managed golf courses throughout the country su...!!!
Nice layout but they need to do a better job taking care of bunkers. No much sand in them at all
We played there yesterday, September 22, 2013 and were disappointed to the extent that we probably wont play there again. Carts ran out of power and had to be replaced. No starter to force reasonable spacing so we waited on every hole. We waited 20 minutes for a cart and still waited for every shot after the next hole. The gentleman that worked in the clubhouse, really didnt like his job or the customers. The course maintenance was awful. The fairways didnt seem to have been mowed in a week. There were terrible weedy like grasses growing on the greens. The greens were not consistent speeds. There were a massive number of fire ants on the tee-boxes, greens and fairways. People were fishing around a lake in the middle of the 17th Fairway making it really unsafe to tee off. Most of the sand bunkers had water, mud or were like cement. Several water igloos were empty.
Course in ridiculously bad condition, minus greens which were so-so. Sand less, hard pan bunkers and poorly kept all around. Range balls so beaten they drop like rocks. Great layout but come on, man! Put some basic money into your course!!
Everytime I play this course its a 5 hour round. No tee time spacing, they just line them up on the first tee. Real fun when you play behind 2 5 somes.
Great Course, Atrocious Customer service. Was 23-sca-dooed today by the pro shop. Noon tee time. Checked in at 11:20, pro shop guy sells me and a buddy a couple of unlimited beer / margarita tickets that were part of a tournament before us (note: we were NOT part of the tournament); we get to the 2nd tee box for our first beer. Buddy gets one; I decide to wait until the margarita tee box. Girl at 2nd tee box clearly didnt want to be there. Beer was warm. And she informed us that she was shutting down at 1 pm (remember we teed off at noon) and said the margarita tee box closes shortly thereafter. Bottom line, we paid $20 for 2 all you can drink beer and margarita vouchers and only got one beer out of it. So after the round I went to the pro shop and explained the situation, and the pro shop gentleman named Rick was a real piece of work, and thats putting it mildly & politely. Suffice it to say, Ive never been so rudely brushed off, leaving the pro shop completely disrespected. Nice job, Twin Creeks. Youve got some real winners working for you.
Great place to play golf, when you are ever in the McKinney area..
Peaceful.
Arnold Palmer design and very long, love playing here
Too long to play. Too many large groups. 5 and 6 person at a time.
This course is okay. Has potential to be a good course if maintained better.
No watering, bunkers has hard as the parking lot, no cartgirl, not even papertowels in the bathroom. What happened to this course? Definitely not worth the $50 we paid, maybe a $20 primetime course, I can tell ownership has changed.
This course is fun but not usually in great shape.
Improved to the nth degree. Arnold would be proud now.
Great golf course and reasonably priced!
Friendly staff and good maintrnance of course.
The best part of Allen, no doubt!
Just the best for a great day of golf
Not very friendly in the proshop. Also the greens are pretty crappy- slow where good.
Great for beginners or laid back players
Nice day, only problem was the spraying of the greens, too wet and sloppy for putting.
Great course for the price
SLOW. Needs management and maintenance.
Love it!
I like it
