Always something going on for visiting and enjoyment. Fun, quaint, and peaceful town with a nice selection of restaurants, specialty shops such as candy/ice cream/custard shops, and nice view of the Potomac, the Wilson bridge and National Harbor, MD.
Looked nice in the night with the lights. Bit crowded by the eating areas. Didnt care about people smoking. Some areas were not well lit that had public access. People were wearing mask trying to Social distance.Enjoyed a short stroll.
Old town Alexandria is nice, and it’s not for everyone due to its historic nature, but for me - very nice, has a nice charm to it, and the waterfront area between old town and the national harbor has a nice feel to it that makes out for a great time, even during COVID
Go there and bring romantic with you. The area is so special and very atmospheric
Beautiful area and relatively quiet this time of year. Good vibes and great shops.
It makes for a nice place to walk around with your kids and dogs. The food is a little pricey of course, its hipsters heaven. It was a little crowded being a holiday weekend and not everyone was wearing masks, but it is ok.
This was me and my boyfriend first time visiting Old Town Alexandria and it was gorgeous! Take my advice, if you want to find a spot with the perfect romantic setting, this is the place!
Great area and neighborhood. Plenty of great restaurants and shops.
A lovely small harbor with a good selection of restaurants. We could park just a few minutes from the harbor. You will enjoy nice views of the Potomac.
So beautiful. Always happening. Good chain of restaurants. Old beautiful buildings.
Great place to have a good dinner and walk around afterwards. Its a perfect datenight!
Great time outside plenty of restaurants are open.
Nice seating arrangement but, still no comparison to Europen garden..hope to add.some American touch..historical....for example..
It is a good place to visit and walk around. 4th of July, I visited the old town with a friend, although, the weather was hot and humid, I enjoyed the river scene and had an ice cream and cold beverages. I recommend this area for visitors.
Absolutely beautiful lots to look at on the main strip King St. Awesome shops and places to eat. Clean, fun and relaxing city to walk through.
The place was beautiful, clear skies and friendly people.
Nice area! Walked here from our condo and really enjoyed our outing. Highly recommend!
Beautiful place! Will visit again!!!
One of the loveliest spots in Alexandria!! Beautiful views, family friendly... I never wanted to leave!! If in the area, this is a MUST to visit, no matter what time of day or night. Just beautiful!
Everything went smoothly. Police were directing traffic and pedestrians. They closed off part of the road so people could distance. You could get food and drinks to go . A pleasant afternoon
Time flies! So much to do and eat, wonderful atmosphere and great selection of restaurants and cuisines.
Beautiful place. In my opinion this place has the best ice cream shops
Lovely place to walk and get away from the usual rush.
Pretty waterfront, well laid out. Ideal for dog walking.
I took my bf here to celebrate his birthday at midnight. The waterfront with full moon was amazing.
A beautiful and quiet place to sit and enjoy lunch and the waterfront along the Potomac river. I highly recommend it for those in the area looking for gorgeous scenery and a relaxing experience in the heart of old town. Put it on your schedule and thank me later.
Great place but lots of people. Just use the parking garages worth the small fee
Went there unintentionally but the experience was just amazing. Visited the art museum just by the river and it was a pleasant experience for the kids.
What a beautiful area!! So many shoos and restaurants. The outdoor cafes were adorable.
Great place for families, calm and good atmosphere.. Many restaurants around.. and water taxi
Nothing else except the old town with a lot of 2 millions $$ houses ( 160+ years old) but it’s still a cool destination to explore.
Can be crowded, cafes are expensive. Not many places to sit when crowded. Not a very large area either. Honestly overrated
Old buildings, special town near DC. Many seafood restaurants near the pier good to have a lunch. I recommend you can walk from station to pier and take free bus back to station.
Great place to walk the water front. Lots of shops and things to do. It gets busy so plan ahead.
I will miss this place. The reason I moved to Alexandria
Absolutely beautiful, calm and scenic for any afternoon! Restaurants, bars and cafes
Great little area with some pretty interesting characters
I adore coming here. To relax, spend the day, eat good food, go out on the water or for special events. I feel that coming here any time of the year is nice either way. There are shops on King Street and all the way at the bottom is the water front.
Lovely area. Gets crowded on weekends.
Beautiful waterfront in Alexandria. There are shops and restaurants around and a nice scenic walk. After exploring the views we went to have lunch at Blue and white Greek restaurant with amazing views.
They blocked off the street to make it a free pedestrian area and allow restaurants to offer outside dining
Very nice view of the MGM across the river surrounded by an affluent neighborhood. Itll be really nice once they finish a little construction
Amazing spot for waterfront view, hanging out and dining anytime
Always so beautiful and peaceful. Today it was very very busy. But still fun!!!
Gets better every year. New parks with rotating art installations, restaurants and great views. Definitely worth the visit if you are in town and looking to get some walking in.
Great food and service. Easy going. Casual fun atmosphere.
Great place. Open air seating for restaurants.
This place is so calm and beautiful! I just got here from Europe and this was the first place i went with my husband and it was just beautiful!! Will definitely go back! Make sure to bring a Picknick basket with and a lot of time!!
A great town to explore and eat!! We seen some amazing old historical buildings and houses. The restaurants are extremely plentiful and the food is great from Our experiences!!
Beautiful place to stroll around and enjoy.
You never know what quaint shop or dive restaurant youll find here... Its been one of my favorite places to visit for some time now. Dont be in a hurry when you visit because the stroll alone will keep you from wanting to leave
Nice place to hang out.
A nice relaxing place. I imagine it will much better during summer time. Its still one of the best places I visited at Virginia.
Its a water front.
Nice relaxing atmosphere. Views of the Potomac River and DC.
Refreshing area with great selection of restos to dine and drink!
We enjoyed people watching and looking at boats while we were waiting on our water taxi to take us back to Georgetown. Plenty of benches and things to see while there. Restaurants are plentiful and near the water for a great view. Its the perfect place to watch the colors of the sky change at sunset. A lovely area of Alexandria. Historic plus lots of shops and restaurants. Nice views from the pier at the end of King Street. One of our favorites. Park in the underground garage at the fountain.
Love this place... Just come here .. Enjoy by the waterfront
Great place to spend an afternoon with familia
Great view after the park rebuilt, really opened up the space
Awesome place to dine, drink and walk in the evening!
Beautiful place to walk leisurely in the evenings.
Nice place to spend weekend with family
Good for walks.
A must visit. Take the water taxi to DC or to National Harbor, Maryland from here.
What a beautiful place! Wonderful place to see art, eat good food, experience the history of the town and take a taxi boat ride. Dont miss the atmosphere of this old quaint town and the lovely views of DC.
Gorgeous views of the potomac, amazing food area, lovely experience
Beautiful and greet restaurants
Spent a day walking around. Quite little boutiques. A very quaint little town. Nice restaurants.
First time and great experience everything was delicious server excellent definitely we will back
I love this place! Water, boats, food, art, and a water taxi to the ballgame.
Lovely town
The old, beautiful city of Alexandria is buzzing with more than 200 independent restaurants and boutiques next to intimate historical museums and events right on the waterfront. Here you can walk on the waterfront. We were in November 2018. Its cool outside but it didnt spoil the beauty of this place. Visitors will enjoy the leisure center, lined with beautifully preserved 18th and 19th century architecture. This historic city, founded in 1749, is easily accessible by water taxi, subway, bikeshare and much more. Alexandria was named the best place to travel and one of the most beautiful cities in the South.
Amazing and just perfect for the holidays. Some great dinners and shops. Not to forget the ice cream
God has blessed this place! Good folks! Good food! The feel of true history comes into my soul while here, Its just in the air.
Fun place to visit...just maybe not in January. Kids had lots of fun tho
I take a lot of walks around the waterfront area. Probably my favorite place to just enjoy people watching and sometimes I can catch a nice sunrise.
We had a great walk through this area. There are all sorts of restaurants, shops and gallerys along with the riverfront attractions. There are drinking fountains which were very much appreciated on that hot day. Parking was reasonable for a tourist area. I think we paid 10.00 for a covered lot for all day parking. It was only about 1 block from the river front walk. Id like to visit again in the evening.
Such a cute place with lots of restaurants
Great place with a lot of historical sites. A good place to spend a warm and sunny day.
Nice area. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Kinda nasty after the flooding
Very well done. Lovely walk along the water with good mix of restaurants and art galleries
Amazing place
Lovely to stroll around
Very walkable area, and I felt safe walking around at night alone. Thats always a plus. Plenty of places that are within walking distance (i.e. Bars & restaurants)
Nice park. Good for relaxing or finding a good restaurant or bar
I love old town Alexandria. I have been coming here for 20 years and each year, new things keep coming up. They have recreated the waterfront and even expanded the area where the Rotary Club used to be. It is now a park for people to relax, have lunch and enjoy the beautiful view of the Harbour. I love my city!
