Very nice establishment right on the Potomac River. The views of the river are very nice, and if you enjoy plane watching the flight path for Reagan National is right overtop of here. The staff is friendly and they have a nice selection of beer and other drinks at the bar. The food is decent too. Only you have to be a member to get in, or be with a member. The parking lot could be a bit bigger, and the Clubs dock is sadly not accessible from the building. Other than that this is a very nice venue.

If you choose and are so chosen, this is a fantastic club facility. It is brand new. Sits on the banks of the Potomac and has a great view of the surrounding area from most of the floors and definitely the roof. The whole place has a very relaxing feel. They certainly did a wonderful job in building the place out to accommodate a historic boat club in Old Town Alexandria.

We had a great evening of the Alexandria Bar Association at Old Dominion Boat Club in Alexandria, VA. Good food, good drinks and fabulous colleagues/attorneys for the monthly meeting. District Court Judge Becky Moore, my good friend, was the best speaker of the meeting.

Currently at the foot of KingSt in old Town Alexandria but moving to newly built facility at the foot Prince street in few months (Dec 2017). Amazing views of the Potomac river. Currently only serving beer and wine but will serve mixed drinks in the new facility. Prices are very reasonable but the menu is very limited. Usually one special per night plus sandwiches and pizza. This is a private boat club so you must be a member, guest of a member or a member of another boat/yatch club. The number of members is limited and it is currently about a 3-4 year wait list. They have private parking which is big plus in Old Town.

Went to check it out as a wedding reception venue. The facilities are nice, as well as the staff, but it is way bougie. Gorgeous building, though.

Fantastic club. Great view of river, skyline. Too bad City of Alexandria is taking possession of property. Club will move 1 block South to new building in October, 2017.

First, The Old Dominion Boat Club (ODBC) is not a restaurant or a bar - though it does have those on-site - so comparing it to one of the local eateries is not valid. Rather ODBC is the oldest boating club in Virginia with members from all walks of life and a wide array of backgrounds. The Club is actively involved in many humanitarian activities such as Christmas and Spring parties for the children with special needs of Alexandria; picnics for the Wounded Warriors; fund raisers for cancer research, Leukemia Lymphoma Poker Run, annual bell ringing for the Salvation Army, Toys for Tots, and a host of other local and national charities. The ODBC has been a continuous supporter to the social, recreational, civic and material progress of the City of Alexandria. The Club is a proud part of Alexandria history and its tradition for the sporting life on the Potomac. Its also a great place to have a drink, a quick bite to eat, and spend time with members and guests.

Cool place, kind of a pita to get to bc of all the gates, I heard the city is tearing it down though.
