The spray park is fun. There is a big playground next to the spray park for kids aged 2-12. Entry is free for the spray park but only a limited kids are allowed after spray park is full and then you have to wait until someone comes out. Its a fun place to take the kids. There is also a walk path which is fun. Also there is an amphitheater.
We LOVE THIS PLACE!! This park is just amazing. And, FYI: the best days to go are when its a little drizzly outside. Low crowds. Just be sure to have the kids wear water shoes. The playground and nature walk are really well done.**Poison ivy is growing right off the paved walkway and up the trees on the nature trail so dont let your kids mess with the plants
I can’t believe this place is free! It can be really hard to get in on weekends but it’s easy to see why. What a wonderful place to take kids to cool off. So much to do there and so clean since they don’t allow food inside. Love that they have family bathrooms right there on site. And with a gigantic playground and carousel next door there’s no shortage of things to do once you’re done getting wet!
Was a bit crowded today. By the time we were leaving, the bathrooms definitely needed some attention. Speed bumps in the parking area might be a good idea since some people were too ignorant to slow down with dozens of children on foot. Kids seemed to be enjoying themselves and, for the most part, seemed to interact well together.
Grandkids love it here. We take them here when they visit for the summer and most of the time we are there until closing. They also love the playground next to the spray park. There are no food here to purchase, therefore, if you plan to spend the entire day, it is best to bring some snacks and/or sandwiches.
This place is amazing! The water park has a lot of variety and kids love it! Its clean, well staffed and is free. It is in a park so there is a playground adjacent as well as hiking trails, a volleyball court with sand, tennis and an amphitheater. Parking is available however, the spots closer to the water fountains usually fill up pretty quickly. Fun for the entire family!
A day of fun for under $5Staying home in the Summer we are always looking for something fun and inexpensive to do. Today we had a ball and I only spent $3. We started our day at the Regal movie theaters in Potomac Yards for the Kids Summer $1 movies. Todays choices were between Lego Batman and Trolls. Being a mom of two boys, Lego Batman won. Then to stay cool in the heat we headed over to Our Special Harbor Water Spray. This place is a new favorite and hidden gem that is totally free. We enjoyed our packed lunches under a tree, the kids ran wild in the treehouse playground and we ended the day running through the water sprays and dump buckets. A perfect Summer dayal for under $5.#fallynsfoodieexcursionssummermomedition#momoftwoboys#campglenn2018#summerfun#kidsummermovies#watersprayparks
Free admission for small family to poolFree is greatClean bathroomHas carousal, $3 per kid per rideWonderful playground designWater park is good for all kids ages because no water depth, just streams of water to the floor.Limited number of seats which is one star lessCan book a pavilion for party with feeBe aware no eating in the water parkHighly recommend for cheap/ free family fun
Great for kids of various ages! Accessible to kids with special needs. Individual restrooms allow for privacy and are wheelchair accessible! The splash park is gated. Super friendly staff! The playgrounds are covered and so are the picnic shelters. Perfect for birthday parties!
My son loves this place. It has a lot of water fun for the kiddos. Also. The ice cream snacks outside the gate are very reasonable. Lastly, The park around it adds to the activities.
We have enjoyed this park for a few summers now and I’m always surprised at how well kept the splash pad is. There are always workers walking around and making sure they kids stay safe. Great variety of play areas to span a wide age range. My 11mo, 3yo, & 5yo all enjoy it greatly!
Fantastic Park with many spray options, suitable for all ages. They limit/close bathroom prior to closing (there are bathroom on the other side of the park that remain open though. This park is too good to be free. Excellent! excellent!!
My kids love this place! The water park is great and they have a big playground right next to it so we are always doing both when we visit. We have gone here many times.
The sprinkler park says it’s open online, but it’s actually never opened. It also says that on the lee district website. Very misleading.
Very nice place for kids to play. Great on a hot summer day. They have bathrooms but most of them ran out of soap. Lots of different sprinklers for kids to try out. Both my 2 and 3 year old love playing in the spray park.
Its hard to believe this place is free!!! It is the biggest spray park in the area and has a great dry park as well! Just make sure your children have water shoes with back on them or they will not be allowed in. There is a water table so its a good idea good idea to being cups or buckets for the kids to play with!
Always a nice trip for the littles. I LOVE that this park is built to accommodate wheelchairs. The place was packed as we went Labor day, but there was space/ accommodation for everyone. It didnt feel over crowded at all! With a playground, benches/tables for eating and lots of chairs for lounging /watching the family splash, it was a great outting.
Can’t say enough good things about this park. It has so many features for little ones up to probably age 10. There is also a nature trail, two playgrounds, and a carousel. In the summer you can buy ice cream, too! It does get a bit crowded, so come early and don’t forget water shoes for the kids! No flip flops allowed! Best of all it’s FREE!
Nice park. Lots of people, friendly staff.
Kids loved it. If you visit, kids have to wear swimming shoes. Nice place to bring kids on a hot say. I sat under the water bucket and let water fall
I can’t believe this place is free! My 16 month old loved it here. There is also a picnic area, merry go round, and a fun park. Would highly recommend
Great park for little kids
My kids love this place! The splash park is a lot of fun, my 4 year old and 1 year old really like the water tables and smaller fountains. The adjacent playground is fantastic and in great shape. They have a little ice cream vendor and plenty of picnic tables. Plus a beautiful carousel, but they only run it every 30 minutes, and you buy tickets at the ice cream vendor. Overall a great place for the family that is mostly free
Really surprised - this place is wonderful. Can’t believe it’s free.Come prepared with shoes that have straps. My 10 year old had to wear his sneakers in because they said he needed sandals with straps.
Fabulous facility. Many different installations. Clean restrooms. Even appropriate for an intrepid non-walking baby!
Awesome site that has so many things for kids! Clean, well kept, and plenty of room.
Great for young kids (5-6) and younger. Plus, its free for Fairfax County residents. Be prepared to wait in line. Scope around for some seats, and dress to get wet! Bring snacks and explore the jungle gym, merr go round, etc.
The best free spray park. Plus three playgrounds and a carousel. Little kid heaven.
FREE and so much fun for the kids. There is also a trail and playground that are clean and very well maintained.
The best public splash pad I have ever been to. Take your kids, its worth it.
Great place for kids especially during summer.. my 4 yr old son had lot of fun in water park
Love this. Place, we will miss it when we move. Get there right when it opens on a sunny weekend day, unless you want to wait in line. There is a splasher limit so its never too crowded
Fun for most young children. The staff does a great job enforcing the safety rules without being intrusive.
Great spot to hang out. Wish both playgrounds had shades. Hopefully second one is coming soon. Its getting hot.
Such a beautiful and fun place for kids and even for adults! Totally recommended it.
My kid had so much fun here! Free water fun!
You cant beat a free splash park that is fun for all ages! Make sure all the kids wear shoes with backs (water shoes or sandals with a back strap). Bring some plastic cups for the little ones to make the water table even more fun! There are even shades areas, but be ready to take your picnic outside the park itself- no food is allowed to be consumed inside. There are plenty of picnic spots nearby, a great playground, a carousel, and a new accessible nature path.
We love this spray park. Over the past few years its gained some notoriety and thus is far more crowded on weekends and even weekday mornings (with lines to get in). Waiting is never fun but with Chessies playground next door no one cares! Even better is the new trail that winds down through the woods with music structures and animal statues and tracks to explore. The benches that look like tree stumps are pretty awesome too! That said, we love to wait out the crowds and make our appearance after 5pm. Getting a seat is still tricky at that hour but at least there isnt a wait! O e note though is that they close early on Wednesday for the evening concert series.
Took the grandkids. Perfect for all young kids.
Amazing spray park located at the Lee Rec Center. Its HUGE and the toys are great. There is also a great playground right next to it.Make sure you have water shoes for your kid or otherwise they wont let you in. They check at the door for shoes!!
My kids and I love this place! Great family fun, and I cant believe its free!
Awesome spray park for free. A little bit of a line during peak season. But we loved it.
What an awesome place! First time with my 2 yr old. Went on a Wednesday, they open at 11 and we arrived at 10:45 with a line. However, if you want to snag a chair with shade then I understand the rush to get in. Its free to get in so once gate opens you get right in. I imagine that there is a wait on the weekends since there is a Max occupancy of I believe 276. Lots of toddlers here so it was great for my son to interact with others his age. Nice park right next to splash pad with shaded pavilion with seating to eat. My new favorite spot. Did I mention its free to get in. AMAZING!
This place is great for kids and free! Make sure to bring water shoes for yourself and your kids. There is a big playground next to the spray park for kids 5-12. There aren’t any swimming pools. There is plenty of space and water spouts and sprayers for the kids to play in. I wouldn’t suggest many toys are there isn’t much need for toys. The place is like running thru your sprinkler as a kid times 1000.
It seriously is free, which I wasnt sure of. The pictures displayed are accurate, everything is kept in great condition because kids arent allowed to free climb on stuff. The only hangup is that they hit capacity and a line may form until some folks leave but the wait doesnt seem to exceed 10-20 minutes. We brought sandwiches to eat before going in, no food allowed inside the spray park.
Awesome place. Cant bring food in but theres plenty of park space outside the water spray area to picnic.
This place rocks! It has a playground with little kid and big kid equipment, a really fun spray ground, and its FREE! We paid to reserve a covered picnic area, but with a smaller group would not have paid anything. We brought our own food. I had heard the lines to get into the spray ground were really long, but there was no line. Woo-hoo!
It was great free fun. Pretty clean, and even though it was at max capacity the day I went it didnt feel too crowded. Because of this there was a lone to get in as we had to wait for people to leave to go in but the weight wasnt too long. Only real downside is there is not much shade for adults/kids in strollers.
Great for kids of all ages and parents just dont forget swim shoes!
This place is fantastic for young kids (8 and under). Lots of water features, including buckets, sprayers, sprinklers, etc. Also specially designed to be accessible to those with special needs. And it is free! You may have a wait at pick times (early-mid day on weekends)
Great place for kids to enjoy summertime, but waiting time is a problem.
My kids love this place. The place is clean and fun. And best of all its free. We usually start at the splash park, then end at the playground. Also, its a Dominoes hotspot so we sometimes get pizza there, too.
Love this place. Great place for kids of.all ages.
Fun but super busy and people everywhere at least when they opened on a week day
Popular spot for our youngest one. Clean fun pray park for family & friends
Very fun, especially for kids under 8. Kids need to wear shoes with a back strap. Adults are ok to wear flip flops. Shaded area w/in spray park to sit and leave bags. The back of the park has little fountains and water tables ideal for toddlers. Larger falling buckets are towards the front for bigger kids. The morning seems to be popular for toddlers and the later afternoon tends to have camps and older kids. If you go in the AM, be prepared to see a line formed by 30 min before opening. Bigger kid playground and toddler playground located next door, along with cover eating areas.
This place is so much fun! Free for VA residence
Great place. Lots of fun for little ones. Kids need a heel strap or water shoes. We used old tennis shoes and they worked fine.
Love it, even no payment wow.
Free and a great place for toddlers and young kids
Its a good spot for little kids and its free of cost!!!!
My toddlers & I love this place & its free!
Love this place. Plenty for kids to do, and for grown ups to join them!
Went to my nieces party. It was great.
Nice park, we visited first time. My kid enjoyed a lot with variety of water fountains and other park facilities. Thanks to Park team and Fairfax County.
Just incredible. Come prepared to get wet and get then get wet.
It was so much fun great place
Perfect place to take the kids for free
Perfect! Totally free!
Great place. We had a lot of fun, spent the whole day here. This place is better than any other splash park because theres also a playground. And not to mention its free!
Fun time. Just remember to bring water shoes or flip flops. Otherwise you wont be able to go on the splash pad.
I wasnt thrilled on going but once we got there my kids had a blast.
My kids favorite place for the last 5 yrs now.both my kids are under 10 and they love it both the spray park and the playground.Had my daughters 2birthdays there too.
Well thought out park for kids. One of the best in the DMV.
Great alternative if you want water and not the hazards of a pool. Remember to bring water shoes for the kids.
The best free-entry water park + play ground for kids
Was NOT pleased that all operations continued for admitting guests when there was a known issue that the main water valve was not working. I understand things happen but there has got to be better judgement in relaying that message to the public. No vouchers or rain checks were offered and this is a big disappointment being as though we chose this place because of its high reviews.
Super long line to get in but only because theyre controlling the crowds which I like. We had a great time playing in the sprays and enjoyed the unexpectedly huge playground as well!
Its a really great place for kids and families with small children. i would definitely go back.
Great place for bring the family. Water shoes are mandatory
Great place with lots of fun things for my kids to play on.
A gift to children. Amazing and completely handicap accessible.
Great for kids on a hot day. Expect crowds
Nice, clean, lots of fun for the kids, and grown-ups, nice hiking and park area
This is an incredible splash pad, for absolutely free! The only problem is that it is only open to the public, during the weekends, until the end of June.
We love this place
Kids must wear water shoes! Great place, tons of fun!!
Our children love it here. It also has a dry park and plenty of shading options to picnic and cool down.
Completely accessible.. very safe for kids
Great for small children 6 and under. Older kids might get bored. Chairs and shade are provided but on first come basis.
Great spot for the kids to play in the water. Plenty of water features and not too crowded.
I love this place. Safe and fan for the little kids️
Great place for summertime fun for young children. And the best part, ITS FREE!!!
Lots of water and interactive things for kids; some shade stands; climbing playground; wooded path under development. Carrousel $3 pp.
This place is always so clean and well kept, especially for being free. only complaint is there is not enough shaded seating areas.
Its amazing that this professional-looking splash park attached to Lee District RECenter is free!! The fenced-in splash park contains a variety of fun water features for young children, and, without any standing water to speak of, is very safe. Plus, there are local volunteer high school students that serve as lifeguards, although there is never more than an inch or two of water in any spot. It can get very busy on the weekends during the summer, be prepared for a line to enter or even a short wait if the park has reached capacity. You will need to wear some form of shoes - Crocs or water shoes will do. The spray park is adjacent to Chessies Playground, a large series of play structures with restrooms, shaded pavilion, and hiking trails.
Great time with the kiddos
Just visited this week with my two year old granddaughter we loved it!
Good for kids.
