Moderate hike, but beautiful views even from the base. First stretch is busy with hikers, runners, mountain bikers, and dog walkers. However, once you get back further into the National Forest, it feels like wilderness.

Wow you can really review anything lol. The trails to u mound are very easy and not too sandy, rocky, or steep. Once you are by the u mound the view of the city is amazing.

This is a short hike with beautiful views! I did the hike while carrying a one year old. We also had a three year old and a five year old with us and they did fine though they didnt make it to the very tip top because they were too small to climb the rocks. It does get step towards the top so watch out for that. Bring sunscreen and hats. The parking lot is small and fits maybe four cars but you can park along the street outside the gate.
