We had our 1st experience taking are 5th wheeler out. Enjoyed ourselves and enjoyed the property. We walked the lakes enjoyed the wildlife. There are early morning trains that go by but after a few mornings did not bother us much. The Isleta Casino provides shuttle service to and from casino to your trailer. We also used the Spa services of the casino and ate at a couple of their restaurants. When we stayed the RV resort had a stay two night get one free. I believe are 6 day stay was $140. Saturday morning club house offers free donuts and coffee.
Great place to go during COVID 19 Camp and Fish
Fantantic with cement pads and the way laid out the spaces. Utilities are placed properly, Good lighting, and trash receptacle. We have stayed with you several years and will continue to do so. All you need now is to be able to make reservations.
Very nice, peacefully place to get away. Just need to water their trees alot more.. Beautiful trees. If given more attention would produce awesome shade..
We stayed 1 night and it was an awesome night. People and staff were very friendly and it by far was not expensive. Very clean and neat facilities.
Its a beautiful golf course. 1st time there. Tough course for me.Nice staff members. Wish the drink cart stayed on the course longer. It was 98°. I would definitely go back
Guests have to leave at 7pm and pay additional fees for Guests visiting. Overnight guests pay additional fees as well. The price for staying is a good deal and has some great features like fishing which costs additional fees. Cleanliness is nice and lots have the hook up and dump on each site.
Pay $18 and dont even get a bite thats a waste of money
We called SPECIFICALLY because we noticed they had fishing. I said, specifically, that we were towing our trailer but, didnt need to camp because we were passing nearby on our way to Santa Fe, was there a charge for fishing? The person said, that was fine it would be $18per person..Arrived.. SAID NO, no towing a trailer is allowed if you just want to fish. The left hand needs to know what the right hand is doing at this business.BTW, if you want to make it right, send me $4 for my gas to go a bit out of our way.
Trash everywhere, weeds taller then the people and employees sitting doing nothing. For 18 bucks it should be in much better shape. You need to take some pride in your facility.....
What a disappointment, Annual Fishing Derby for the American Legion Veterans & family. Large group with RVs, and people. This was booked weeks ago. Rules changed daily, Police called because SOMEONE SAID we wasnt Social Distanced. We had 5 camp sites and were doing what the rules said . Manager Austin needs some People Skill Training . As conveinate as the location was We wont come back.
My family and I had a great time fishing there! Very beautiful and relaxing place. There were 7 of us though and not one of us caught a fish! I wondered if there were any fish left (there were alot of people there at 8am even). Would gladly go back again!
Nice day to go fishing with exception theres NO fish! Havent been stocked in months.
Great park and facilities. Includes a store, fishing lakes and a laundry room.
Nice Rv sites w/full hookups, and cement pads, small lakes nearby, general store with supplies
The lakes are the best part of this RV park. They are beautiful and attract an abundance of water fowl. On a short walk I saw 2 great blue herons and Canada geese. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly and the per night cost for full hook ups is very low. The bathrooms needed to be freshened up otherwise I could have given them 5 stars.
Nice golf course. Had a bad day but would definitely try my luck again.
Place is packed! Cant believe the line just to get in! Theres a big sign that says do not stop on RR tracks! People read the sign and wait to get in! The lake isnt going anywhere! Be patient and safe!
Not sure if shortage of Casino guest have to do with shortage of FISH.. GEESH.. BUT NICE GROUNDS
Great campground! I appreciate the 24hr security to get in the park, makes it feel a lot safer. Utilities all worked great. Some nice lakes and trails to walk around. Will be back if in the area! Some people mention the Rail Runner (local commuter train) as being loud. Yes you hear it, but its not intrusive like a freight train and is convenient to jump on for a trip to Santa Fe.Couple cons. They dont take reservations which I think ultimately hurts their business, few people (my self included) want to drive across country and just hope they have a site for you when you show up.Also, while the bathroom (sink and toilet area) is spotless and clean, its like they ignored the shower area, they were pretty dirty and had no place to set clothes, toiletry bags, etc, just one little towel rack to share between 4 shower stalls.
Beautiful campground and clean. Due to COVID all the amenities are closed and no discount offered. We were told over the phone its 1st serve 1st come and they are only booming the park at 50% capacity. I also told them we were 65 feet long, fine I was told. When we arrived 2 people behind the counter were snarky and rude and very unhappy. They charged us $20.00 to park our trailer in the dirt along the side. Are you serious?! We normally stay in the Hotel but after this we will never come back again! Also educated your staff about COVID. They told me it attacks young children ! LOL
Great experience with great help from the staff with the Iselta property managers.
Great place to enjoy with your family and friends but not alot of fish at the lake
Nice place to go fishing but they need to put fish in the lake.
Had a very good time caught a catfish
Amazing fishing lakes and walking trails.
My only complaint is that you should have someone working to spray all those viscous ants all around the lake!!!
Great facilities and nicely laid out but..... OMG THE TRAIN THAT PASSES THROUGH EVERY HALF HOUR FROM 5AM ON BLARING A HORN. I can sleep solid, but this goes through noises canceling headphones and walls. For the overpriced $38 per night! I never would have expected this.
It was a nice get away from home..
Really nice park! Felt really safe. Bus will take to casino and back. Be prepared for the train that blows the whistle at night and early morning. No way around the hearing of the whistle blowing. But I would stay there again!
The fishing is awesome there!!
Great place to stay while visiting Albuquerque. Campground is close to casino with free shuttle service. Sites are level and well kept. There is a fishing pond and places to walk. Bathrooms and showers were spotless. Thursday 9.99 prime rib at casino was very good.
Isleta Lakes and RV Park is a very convenient stop for those traveling along I25 in the Albuquerque area. Access is easy with wide paved roads leading to the RV park. The access road crosses a railroad track but it is also a pretty smooth crossing. The roads inside the park are gravel and relatively smooth. The sites are gravel with water, sewer and electric utilities. The lakes are beautiful and fishing is available. I saw a security vehicle on a couple occasions but do not know the frequency of their patrols. Be aware, trains pass through at regular intervals, day and night. Their horns are extremely loud and they will probably wake even the most sound sleeper!
Nice lake to fish
We just traveled from CA to TN and back and we stayed here twice. The sites were long, level and spacious. Staff was very friendly and the grounds were well maintained. It was nice having security! We ate at the casino one night and it was very good. We didnt use showers or laundry. I wish they took reservations! After driving all day, I like to call a few hours before our arrival to secure a site. Rates were very reasonable.
Been playing Isleta golf course since it opened and still love this course.
Beautiful day with the family ️️️️
Awesome staff and a nice place to stay
If you like loud trains all day and all night long, this is the place. Staff not very friendly, other than that it was good.
Nice clean RV Park. Hookups were nice and organized and not all beat up. Had a fishing lake with a fishing derby thats going on until September 2nd. They pay out on Tagged catfish anywhere from $5 to $1,000 per fish. The fishing derby was put on by a casino so you have to be at least 21 to cash in. The catfish were nice clean fish with no tumors or sores anywheres. The only downside we saw to it, was the lazy dog owners that didnt pick up after their dogs. They actually walked them to empty campsites or campsites where owners of dogs had left for a while and let their dogs do their business and walked away and left it.
I think its a great place but little disappointed that they said they were open today but when we got there it was closed, tried calling and said mail box full and said it was transferring me to the attendant then hangs up on you, idk maybe there was a Emergency were that didnt have time to update their website so people dont drive all the way there to have to turn around?
No fish at all but still had fun.
Nice place but today all I herd was a backhoe loading dirt all dam day just very annoying and during a fishing derby. O now I know why hmm.
First time we ever tried a casino RV Park. It was actually a beautiful place and we definitely will be back the next time we visit Albuquerque and need to be closer to the south side so we can head out South I-25.
Great RV park from check in with friendly staff, nice shop, clean laundry facilities and full hookups in large pull througha sites. Located adjacent to beautiful park with picnic areas surrounding two lakes, great for long walks. Next to a lovely golf course, gas station, restaurant, and train station providing inexpensive transportation to Albuquerque or Santa Fe. A quick free on demand shuttle brought you to an amazing casino with two restaurants, or a fun place with bowling, billiards and arcade. Best RV park weve stayed in.
Fishing was fun here, we took to the reviews and got advice on what to use to help catch and holy moly, we caught 18 catfish the next day!!! So much fun and we love it here! Facilities are clean and well kept. I like that they have plenty of benches with shady areas and a place to clean your fish. Lots of parking areas (pretty much around the whole lake). You can also have adult beverages while fishing, pretty cool. Hours of operation were reasonable and l think well be back very soon, in hopes of catching the big one!
The fishing is awesome .. its good to get the family out today to enjoy some fishing... I witnessed a couple of tagged fish.. 1 10.00 prize & 1tagged fish worth 500.00. The lake is clean.. Thanks isleta lakes for an enjoyable day of family fun!!
Ive yet to catch a fish of my three times coming out here, but its a great get away place. Its clean, the hosts are pleasant, and its a great place to picnic.
They claim that they just stocked the lakes twice the week prior to our last visit but we did not catch a thing!! There is a lot of vegetation growing in the water which makes lure fishing impossible. A girl named Jackie always seems like she is out to RIP people off. When the Hard Rock was running things these lakes were wonderful to fish, but now it is a waste of moeny and time just to give it to Jackie!!!
My Brother and I gos fishing theyre and we love it. Its stock with Different kinds of fishs.its a nice peaceful place to be at.the Lopez Family from Grants New Mexico.
Gorgeous park. Friendly staff. Although I had a family emergency and had to leave a night early, youd have thought they would have some plan in place for refunds
Im not a bad fisher woman but I never catch anything at Isleta other than chiggers they bite and hurt
Not only are there beautiful lakes with some swimming geese, there are very friendly staff members. Great place for dog walking, plenty of garbage cans for waste, just lovely. We will be back here!!!!
Awesome place! I was only there for a few hours, but the fishing was great, the area was well kept and gave a lot of shoreline to work with. The fish here are huge!!! If you have the time to stop by and fish the lakes,I recommend it.
Ok, I will state upfront that this is not necessarily the right place for everyone. If you are looking for a true yuppie resort paradise... just keep looking. However, if you really just want a good place to park that is convenient to the great outdoors, and lots of other things, then this is a good place. They do Not take reservations, which is both good and bad. The good: if you show up, and they have a spot open, it is yours for as long as you want it. Easy. This place is also a park and fishing resort: for a small fee of course. For evening strolls, the park area is 2 miles around. This place is on the reservation. So their land, their laws. Just be civilized and pleasant, and they WILL return in kind.I found this place to be clean and pleasant, and will have No problem seeking to return some day.
We’ve been here a few times, didn’t catch one fish. The security guard kicking people out 30 minutes early was rude. Won’t waste any more time nor money there. Gets 2 stars because some staff is friendly and has nice facilities but Zero fish.
I love fishing over there I wish I could get over there more often they do got big fish in that Lake
Good time. Kids caught bluegills and I caught a good size catfish.
Would say youre better off to fish in the Rio Grande or a Ditch, The Lakes are pretty to look at, and hang around but when it comes to fishing I would say go else where, And for $20 for sure. Was here for about 5 hours, and did not have a single bite or Nibble. Using all types of baits, Jigs, Liver, Puppy, Worms, Live Bait and more. Also did not see a single fish other than the dead ones floating in the water. I would say in both lakes I saw around 30, dead half eaten and or whole just floating. A worker I guess was going around and picking them up out the water, and I alone saw about 30. And he had about 40 in his golf cart in a bag something in the water is killing them and then the life around are muching them. For $20 I would say save it and go anywhere really, youd have better luck in a ditch.
Very loud and noisy due to a train that runs buy SEVERAL times a day and night! Plus the interstate backs up to the campground on the back side. There is a a nice lake and covered eating areas. Sites are pull through! Seem to be well maintained, people were landscaping while we were there. Friendly staff.
Not recommended to traveling nurses or any contract employees. Have to pay by the week only. No monthly stays. Fishing is to high priced and fishing isnt very good. Expect to stay a month only before having to leave and set up elsewhere.
Beautiful lake. Great showers. Fishing to die for! No catch and release but easy to pull a catfish 25lbs or more. Trout in cool weather. Awesome. Will stop there again !
Awesome fishing beautiful scenery surrounded by mountains I highly recommend this place but you have to pay $18 to fish per day
This is a nice rv park with lots of walking area around the fishing ponds. Just dirt pull through fairly level. The 2 main negatives are the train noise and it comes early and often also they do not take reservations for what ever reason.
Wonderful place, I think I just went at a bad time. People are helpful and respectful and well informed on places around for travelers for outside of the state. I will definently visit again in the future.
Expensive and no catch and release expept on carp. Ended up watching everyone catch little 8 inch fish with no meat on them. And you have to pay for parking also have to pay to fish :(
Clean alot of room even on a holiday weekend but price is a little higher and no catch a release allowed.
Very Beautiful place to hang out with Family and Friends very clean and close to home
Have fished these lakes many many times before. The past couple years have been HORRIBLE!! Whether for catfish or trout! The lakes are not stocked they way they say, I just went on June 22, 2019. I pulled all the tricks out of the tackle box. From homemade bait, to hotdogs, hotdogs with koolaid, stink bait, chicken liver, both with and with out garlic. And between 3 of us did not catch one fish in all day!! No one was catching! NOTHING!! We will not be back!! I will take my business to Sandia lakes. And advise anyone else to not waste their time or money at Isleta lakes!
This could be a very nice park. Spaces Good size, each space has picnic tables and cover, and garbage can. But its very very dusty. You cant even sit outside and relaxing in your chairs because every car going by, puts dust all over you. Its a very fine dust on your motor home, your car, and in your mouth.. If they would water it down or put some gravel in or something it would be a better park. Red ants everywhere! No, no, no, keep going unless you love dust. If you are planning on fishing, forget it as store is out of worms. Sign says they open at 6:30 a.m. and have coffee and donuts. That means it really opens at 8 when they unlock the door when the coffee is not made and there are no Donuts available. VERY over priced. Nice picnic table and cover does not make up for the dust youre parked it and the red ants youre parked in
Its ok as long as you are fine with hurricane winds 90% of the time
Kinda pricey but my kids had a blast! Totally worth it!
Very clean, and very safe, they have security and someone who guards the front entrance. Also cant beat 3rd night free. Would definitely recommend.
This is a nice camp ground. It is gated with security. There is a small shop for drinks, snacks, fishing supplies. The sites are nice with all amenities, and there are lakes to enjoy. There is a train that is a little noisy, but for camping by a big city it is very nice.
There was a lot of ants but the views were nice
This place is them best place to stay the shuttle service to and from the casino is awesome great job we will definitely be back
I enjoyed my first time fishing at the lake. No problem catching my limit of 3 to 4 lbs catfish. So much fun!
Nice people. Clean facilities and grounds are well kept. Only downside is that they are next to the Rail Runner and it can be heard and felt throughout the night.
The atmosphere was great I had a very nice time
Its a fair price for a chance to catch a fish... Some have tags that are worth up to a thousand dollars. It was fun for children and adults... Features a playground and abundant wild life... Including eagles... There are places to bbq and even fish cleaning stations...
Great service and easy to get arround. Not a catfish fan but very well stocked lakes with many picnic tables with shelters.Would stay here again..
Nice RV park very close to Casino and next to small lake, priced Right staff on site.
This place is just about as nice as something like this can be in this rather dry location. Just went in as a visitor, but people fishing were catching fish left and right. You do have to pay to get in, 2$ per person just as a visitor, maybe more for fishing. Closes before sunset. Theyve planted a lot of trees so its only going to get shadier and nicer as the years go by. They are taking good care of the landscaping.
This is a halfway stop for us but they dont take reservations. Always have to take our chances. But we love the lakes on the property. Folks at desk are usually friendly. Biggest complaint, ants. Everywhere.
Very disappointed in the fishing at the Lakes I am a local resident and have tried fishing here several times but unfortunately I never catch anything yesterday we came to fish with my son and found that the fish are like zombies with cuts and gashes all over them.. I found two fish like this.. Isleta should be ashamed. Plus you never catch anything...?!! 30 bucks for what??
Great place to stay. You have the lakes and the casino with a shuttle. Also you have security at the gate which makes it safe. You also have a store which carries different items.
