It rained on us all day but the animals were still out. The one main thing that if we had known before hand would have maybe stopped us from going was the safari ride that takes you out so you can really enjoy the park is closed until next spring. We did stop at the play park to enjoy a picnic in covered area. The kids had a blast. On the way out we stopped at the stock pond to let our 3 an 5 year olds throw out a line long enough to hook 2 tiny brims in the rain before packing up for home.
This was a great family trip. The zoo itself was a great walk, even with twin 1 year olds and a 4 year old. It was long enough without being too much for them. The variety of animals was perfect for small children though adults may have already seen some of the animals they have there. The included picture is one my son wanted taken. Its of some of the flowers located in the center of the zoo. The meerkat habitat can be seen in the distance on the right.Outside of the zoo proper there is a nice sized playground for the children. While there were only a few things for the twins, my 4 year old had a constant supply of places to play. The day we went, they were running RC car races. This was a good way to wrap up the day. All three kids liked watching them make laps and jump the variety of hills put up.Needless to say, as a bonus to our trip, the kids all slept well that night.
Very friendly and freshly prepared
Kids can burn energy at the playground and splash pad. We also visit the zoo frequently. Staff is always friendly. No lids/straws on cups for the safety of the animals. Im all for it!!!
Reasonably priced. Family can easily spend all day here. Great areas and tables for picnics. Huge wooden playground for kids to burn off some energy!!
Nice place for a day adventure. Kids enjoyed themselves.
Such a beautiful place
Was fun just need more animals to see.
Sucked. Had very limited items. And $2 for Clover Valley (Dollar General) water is crazy. No lids or straws for the fountain drink. There are vending machines but drinks are 3.50 in those. Pass.
Nowhere near as big or as many animals since storms damaged most of the park, causing parts of it to be indefinitely closed. Still decent for area tho
Working hard to restore damage after the hurricane. I was surprised by the number of animals on display. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great place to take the children of any age.
