Ive been playing in a BAASL league for a number of years and have also checked out some of the other soccer leagues in the East Bay, the staff at BAASL is truly superb and sets this league apart from other experiences I have had. The games have always ran smoothly, from the referees to the timeliness of getting games going and ending on time. The culture and caliber of play they have cultivated within the league is perfect for an adult co-ed recreational league. The cost is very reasonable compared to the other leagues we have participated in.What sparked me to finally write a review after playing with them for so much time was in our past season we had a game or two get cancelled due to the smoke from the Camp Fire. Instead of the league cancelling them out right, which they easily could have as the circumstances were out of their control, the league worked with us and the other teams to find a solution where we could continue to play out the remaining games. They organized additional locations and extended the season after surveying how the teams in the league wanted to move forward. They were open to suggestions and flexible - I cannot think of how they could have better handled the situation.

Ive played 4 seasons now with BAASL, and gotta say if youre in the East Bay Area (Oakland, Berkeley, Richmond, and around), then youre in luck because this is the best soccer league Ive been in America. The level of competition varies according to the different leagues, but Im fairly certain that you can find a match according to your skill level, and if you like to play co-ed also. Having played soccer all my life, and immigrating from Nepal, Ive always wanted to find a regular, awesome league in the Bay.Also, shout out to Irene and Ike, the organizers of the league. They are amazing people and are very supportive of players and teams. This is probably my first and only review on Google, but its highly deserved.Cheers!

This is a solid soccer league. With a lot of different options for mens womens and coed teams. We played the mens 11s and it was legit! I really enjoyed playing in this league and working with the coordinators. We will definitely be returning next season.

This league got me back into soccer after a long hiatus. The league director really created a special environment when he conceived of this league- one where everyone feels welcome. He and the other league administrators are very receptive to feedback and willing to work with you on any number of issues that inevitably arise in a league of this size and makeup. Our team ranges in age from 21-45, both men and women, and we just love playing together. Ive made some great friends and its wonderful and surreal to be playing soccer again!

The league is very well organized. It is easy to sign up, get on a team and play. It is competitive and people play hard, but enjoying the game is definitely the goal. Great league overall. See you out on the field..

Recently started my first season in BAASL after looking around for a league to play in and am very impressed. League admins responded very quickly to emails and concerns. They have also been in attendance at every game and are very friendly and personable and actually make an effort to get to know the people in the league. The 11 versus 11 league I joined was very easy to sign up for and the competitivness of league is awesome! If you love soocer this is where its at.

I have been the head coach for my male youth soccer team up to U-19 and now many of the same players are in my adult soccer team in the Bay Area for a total of 20 years. We have played in several leagues over the years and unfortunately my negative and very frustrating experiences with all those leagues would have led me to give up coaching except for my dedication to my players. This is our first season in the 11v11 Mens League with BAASL and it has been a wonderful experience from the start for me and my players. The League Registrar Irene and the League Administrator Ike are very polite, courteous, friendly and professional. They respond to requests and questions in a very timely manner. The league issues Player Passes that are checked by the two referees before every game and this prevents teams from using unregistered players. The grass and turf fields used by this league are all of a very high standard. Based on my positive experience so far and the fact that my players keep asking me about registering for the next BAASL league, I know we have found by far the best league in the Bay Area and will definitely keep playing here for a very long time. If you want to enjoy playing soccer in a fair and unbiased environment, BAASL is the league you should register to play in. Registration is very straightforward for the coach and his team. It is very gratifying that a league official is present at every game and is always willing to talk with the coaches and referees.

Just moved here from Oakland from Los Angeles, and if your looking for competitive soccer while meeting wonderfully down to earth people and long term friends this is the place! I have played on teams and pickup in Los Angeles, and as well as U.C Davis, but there is something about the Bay Area that fosters such wonderful people. As you join a team, youll come across people who will invite you onto other teams, and you constantly keep developing new friendships. I started off playing Sundays 11v11, and that lead to paying on fridays 8v8, thursday indoor 5v5, monday nights 8v8, and wednesdays. They also have pickup soccer you can find on meet up, which is a great place to meet people if your new the bay area.

If you’re the kind of person who is looking to get back into playing soccer after a long break from the game or just want to be part of a well-organized league, well then, BAASL might be the right league for you!Bay Area Adult Soccer League (BAASL) is, by far, the best adult soccer league in the East Bay. Ike, one of the league administrators, makes a great effort in making all the players feel welcome. The BAASL admin team does a great job in keeping the league up-to-date, organized and well managed. They are open for feedback, especially when it comes to the officiating by the referees, and are willing to improve. Yes, they actually listen to you and try to implement improvements. In addition, the team’s fees are fairly priced. Before coming in to BAASL, I played in the Albany Indoor League, Sports 4 Good Outdoor league, and Berkeley-Albany adult league. Hands down, BAASL take the cake as the most player-friendly, welcome atmosphere, and attentive league.
