I dont have a yacht but I love walking here. Nice views of the water.
A lovely place for a leasurely walk.
A lovely marina with some food, small businesses, and a walking trail that surrounds the water.
I recently purchased a boat and as per the rules at her home marina, she had to be moved elsewhere. I had no clue where to start... I had a commercial fishing vessel in the 90s, but knew nothing about the world of sailboats.I began reading reviews and quickly narrowed it down to the top 2 or 3. The first 2 I called didnt answer or return calls..Sandra at Marina Village Yacht Harbor DID answer. Not just answer, but answered my questions in a pleasant and professional manner. She made the entire process easy, and more importantly didnt treat my lack of knowledge with a shrug of indifference. The harbor is clean, beautiful, and extremely well-maintained. The best showers Ive ever encountered at any marina, RV Campground, etc.The folks Ive met here are great. I have no doubt this will be home to Svenska Swan for a long time to come!
Pretty!
Nice harbor located halfway down the Oakland Alameda Estuary. Cement docks, clean restrooms, secure gates to the boats. Lots of parking. Several great yacht brokers have their offices here.
The nicest marina on the Alameda estuary. We have kept our boats here for over 7 years. The facilities that include laundry, showers and an ice machine are clean and kept in good working order by the staff. The management is friendly and always caring about our needs or frustrations, which are rare. Sandra and the gang at MVYH are the best. Thanks guys! We are proud to call MVYH our home. We highly recommend if you are considering berthing your boat here.
Ive had my boat here for over 10 years its a great place its very peaceful with a nice view. It has floating concrete docks and its in Alameda which is a very pleasant place to be. Theres a bunch of yacht clubs here and a bunch of restaurants and many banks and whatever else you need its probably here
Had our 36 sailboat there. Great location. Groceries, restaurants and fast food nearby besides numerous marine services. Would return.
Excellent secure and clean facilities. The the location is very convenient for Bay access.
Ok better than most which isnt saying much.
I berthed my boat here for five years, three as a liveaboard. The marina office is very pleasant, responsive, and available, the facilities kept up well, the community welcoming and friendly. The location in Alameda is very convenient. As someone who visited numerous marinas throughout Alameda for business, as well as Berkeley and Emeryville, I consider MVYH the best.
Therefore wedding reception had a great time
Great visit
This is by far the nicest Marina in Alameda. Efficient staff, nice showers, close to shopping. Still a ways from the end of the shipping channel, but about as close as you can get.
Alamedas public shoreline includes a walking/ bicycle path that goes through a park by this harbor. Its very nice.
Calm - friendly -atmosphere
Go to another marina, gone down hill past 4 years since harbor master changed. overpriced and dont care about tenants. lots of theft from cars and parking areas many vehicals stolen past year with no help from managers
The team is great, the location too. Great services
