Local Art Studio Gallery.

Absolutely wonderful people to work with. Understanding, flexible and professional. As an artist you always try to show your art at a place that has plenty of foot traffic, easy to work with, affordable fees, fun and is organized. This gallery has it all and they are thriving more and more every year. Ive worked with them for over 5 years and Ive had nothing but good experiences. Definitely a great community asset.

I love this Gallery and I come out to every event that I can. I found Jess and Wes to be very kind and helpful and just a wonderful presence to be around. I buy local art pieces for gifts for family & friends.I am a collector with my MA Museum Studies and I have worked as a Museum Manager & with a variety of collections. I love that they are bringing such wonderful shows to the community!My friend and I are really enjoying the pieces that we bought at the last Black light art show. I was able to film with permission the artist about their piece to show my partner in Narvik, Norway...which really meant so much...being able to share the video and an explanation of the pieces!It really is a highlight for my partner, friends and family when I find unique pieces at this space.And they have always been so nice and made me feel welcome!Thumbs up!!!!

I have been attending showings and events at this lovely little gallery for years and what keeps me coming back is the friendliness and professionalism of the owner, Wes and Jes. They are a great credit not only to the neighborhood but to all of Alameda and all to of the artists that have their works showcased here. I look forward to many more events put on by this wonderful couple.

Jessica and Wesley go above and beyond to help local artists get their work out there and are a gift to our island community. They advise, assist, or, if the artist so desires, they get out of the way. They are fair in their dealings, they can draw a crowd of artists, musicians, and art lovers. They give back to the community. They teach. We are fortunate to have them in our community. In this day and age of rising rents and the loss of space for artists and musicians, we need more spaces like this, and owners like this. Come by Second Fridays, or the many events they put on and see for yourself — this is a great space, and these are great people.

Wes and Jess are absolute gems of Alameda. They work tirelessly to bring the local art scene to new levels so please give Studio 23 a visit! I’ve enjoyed a myriad of events and shows they’ve held there - they never disappoint. ;)

This is a fabulous gallery! Wes and Jess Warren are the nicest people and very organized and professional.

I was so glad to find this hidden gem! There were multiple artists in two separate studio/gallery spaces right next to each other. The artists are local and were lovely to speak with, and my partner and I were grateful to get so much of the backstories behind the artworks we purchased. Great range of styles and pricing, so easy to find something in your budget range or to just enjoy perusing. They are open a couple Fridays a month in the evenings and part of the Art Walk too. Theyre a bit tricky to find, so look for a small easel sign on the sidewalk behind Lucky 13 to point you to the studios.

Wes and Jess are not only running an awesome community art gallery, they are also great human beings that were kind and supportive during times when I needed it.

Community minded and presenting interesting and unique shows while engaging Alamedans from across the art spectrum, Studio 23 is a fabulous space that encourages many visits throughout the year.

Small but wonderful gallery. Jess and Wesley Warren are tremendous boosters for the local arts community. They host a summer fair, 1st Friday events, 2nd Friday events, sketching sessions, figure drawing sessions, and other affordable activities that help keep the creative pulse going in a town that can be a bit too much on the sleepy side.Theyre also very fine artists in their own right.

Studio 23 is an East Bay treasure, situated in the heart of downtown Alameda. Every second Friday they open with an amazing selection of art. They also offer figure drawing each month, classes, theme shows and art festivals. Studio 23 is a happening kind of place to meet people and hang out.

Tucked away behind a dry cleaner, Studio 23 is a gem of a gallery featuring work by local artists. The Second Friday Art Walk is a great opportunity to check out new work, meet the artists as well as others in the community. The proprietors are artists themselves who host meet-ups under Alameda Artists.

Studio 23 is a place for local artists and art lovers to hangout and make plans on how we are all going to take over the world, one painting of at a time. A very eclectic mix of art and unique artists, musicians and locals chillin, literally like Dylan.
