The hiking trails have some nice change of elevation for a great workout. Often see blue herons fishing & the river is beautiful.

Great hiking trail that goes along the Cuyahoga river. Only one major hill that youll have to go up and down, but nothing too crazy. A nice 2.4 mile loop with a connector trail over to the gorge metro park.

Gorgeous trail, though that big hill was quite a challenge for me this round. Cant wait to go back in a few weeks and see if it gets any easier when Ive been walking regularly. Also enjoyed the picnic table area- shaded and with a lovely view.We saw a few folks but it wasnt too busy, and I really appreciated that it was a one way trail to help prevent spread of Covid19.

I really like this trail! It is one of the more strenuous trails in their system as it has a very large hill to climb. It is also 2.4 miles long, making it one of the longer routes as well. But the tail is excellently maintained. The views of the Cuyahoga River are great. The trail is mostly covered by trees. But there is a part of the trail that travels along the hill top that is exposed to the sun,.

Ventured here as part of the Summit Fall Hike Challenge, and was very pleasantly surprised. Solid 2.5 mile loop under a very old canopy with peculiar views, some steep climbs, and old stone stairs. Even found a fairy garden in a tree, as well as a large bee hive. If you go counterclockwise, the trail finishes by the rover with ample grills and tables for a picturesque meal.

My family and I traveled here for the Summit Fall Hiking Spree (just approach from the North to avoid construction). It was amazing!! Don’t be scared off from the 2.4mi. Level 3 Class C rating. The only difficult part was a long incline halfway through. Other than that, this trail was so pleasant. There is a large picnic area 3/4 of the way around. It winds near the river and takes you deep into the forest.

This is one of my favorite trails to run on. I start on the high bridge trail, connect it with chuckery. It makes for a beautiful 5 mile circuit run.

This trail was well maintained. It was easy to navigate and an enjoyable break from the city. We are in Akron Childrens Hospital frequently and this is less than a 10 minute drive. Its quiet yet filled with the sounds of nature, bubbling river, song filled birds, cheeky chipmunks. It does have stairs at several points.

This trail and section of the gorge is so peaceful compared to the main trail leading to the falls. Less congestion, a great place to take your dogs for a dip in the water. My son and I like to come here to throw and skip rocks and we are never bothered. Great photo opportunities as well. My only complaint has nothing to do with the park or those who maintain it but for the general public to stop leaving their trash behind or throwing it in the water! Seriously.....preserve nature and the wild life inhabitants place they call home! This planet is what were leaving behind for our children. There will be nothing left if yall dont properly dispose of your trash!Beautiful scenery! Highly reccomend if you enjoy nature and peace and quiet.
