This is the community arts center that is free. It provides a local venue for artists like me . Parking is free and its only one block from the Akron art museum. The self portrait Felzen is in the next show ... Me myself and I?..featuring self portraits of artists. Opens July 19 and runs to August 31st

If youre a working artist in this area you need to acquaint yourself with these people. They have alot to offer you. Its also the best way I have found to connect and network with other artists in a area that is becoming a very trendy and respected community.

Very cool venue! I was there for the Womens March after event. Would use this place in a second for other events!

The Summit Art Space does an excellent job for the art community of the city but I still believe they could do much more.

An interesting opportunity to view local, original art. Both studio and gallery space are available and some of the resident artists offer classes. Housed in what once was the main library, the space is several floors in a long narrow building that is fully accessible for the differently-abled. The main gallery was housing a juried show called Fresh when we last visited. Volunteer docents are available to help with questions, many of whom are artists themselves.

No air conditioning, fans or ventilation in the main show rooms are a problem during busy events.

Neat space and a good follow up to Akron Art Museum. April was in her studio and shop. She is quite charming and talented.

Nice place to appreciate the work of local artists. Some artists were at their workshops so you could talk with them and watch them work. Ive lived in this area for most of lifetime and never knew it was here.

Absolutely love this place. Local artists that are friendly and there for easy interaction. Its great to see a place like this in Akron that promotes and keeps it local. Offering opportunities for local artists, and also a great place for just an overall amazing feel.

A good place to see a variety of art.

I went for an event and many of the artists who rent space were there. They are there and work there at on numerous days of the week. People can talk with them and if they like their work can purchase or ask them if they could do some work for them. There are other events held there as well.

Excellent gallery for local and worldwide artists.

Loved the interactive poetry exhibit with Kent State. The other vendors were also extremely welcoming and interesting.

An undervalued gem! Several artists have studios in the space, as well.

A lot of good information about local events some nice studio spaces. It is a shame that they are not all open at the same time.
